Jonesborough Plans Memorial Day Event

The Town of Jonesborough will host a Memorial Day ceremony on Monday beginning at 3 p.m. in front of the Washington County Courthouse. According to event organizations, the ceremony will begin with a color guard presentation by the Daniel Boone High School Marine Corps

JROTC, followed by taps played by Samuel Mears.

The Jonesborough Repertory Theatre is also scheduled to perform the Star Spangled Banner and Salute to the Armed Forces.

Citations will be read by local service members for World War I, World War
