Even as China modernizes, it struggles with the legacy of it’s past. Whether China will succeed in its quest to become a major superpower depends on how well the Communist government can balance the forces of economic freedom while at the same time restricting political freedom for its people. Attend this FREE community event to learn where China is poliically and ecomically as the U.S. pivots to Asia. Richard Elfers, a leading authority on issues facing the Middle East and Asia, brings 36 years of experience and a master’s degree in history from Pepperdine University. He offers engaging classroom discussions with his enthusiasm for current events.
