Welcome to Green River Community College! Congratulations on your decision to attend college! Selecting the right college is an important choice and researching your options is a great first step. Founded in 1965, Green River Community College is home to nearly 10,000 full and part-time students that come from all over the world to learn, grow and enrich their lives. In addition to Green River’s main campus, which stretches over 180 acres of beautifully forested land, there are three branch campuses located in downtown Auburn, Kent and Enumclaw. Green River Community College is a top choice for students who wish to transfer to a four-year college or university. We offer transfer programs in Business, Engineering and Information Technology, as well as a wide variety of other majors in Sciences, Humanities and Social Sciences. We also provide more than 40 professional and technical programs that afford our students valuable and necessary training for employment in high demand industries. Students can also earn their high school diploma or GED, learn English, and maintain their lifelong commitment to learning through Continuing Education courses. Our high-quality faculty and motivated staff advise, counsel and support students in their chosen educational careers, creating an atmosphere where achievement is expected and encouraged. You will discover plenty of hands-on learning opportunities outside the classroom, through internships, field work, study abroad, community service and other opportunities enabling you to gain valuable real-world work experience. At Green River, you have the opportunity to take lower division general education classes and degree-related requirements in smaller classes and at a far lower cost than you will find at most four-year schools.
