SIT IN MOVEMENT A group of young men known as the N.C. A&T Four took a seat at the whites-only lunch counter at Woolworths in 1960. Many more protesters joined them over the following days building momentum and becoming the catalyst for sit-ins and other non-violent protests across the country.

GREENSBORO SCIENCE CENTER As a staple in Greensboro for over 50 years, the Greensboro Science Center continues to constantly evolve to educate and bring wonder to children, young and old alike.

BATTLE OF GUILFORD COURTHOUSE This pivotal battle in the Revolutionary War was held on March 15, 1781. It would cause heavy losses for the British troops, forcing British General Charles Lord Cornwallis to reassess his plans. He would then march to Yorktown, VA where he would later surrender.

STEVEN TANGER CENTER FOR PERFORMING ARTS The Tanger Center brings Broadway hits and world-class performances to Greensboro. Since it opened in 2021, it has hosted over 415,000 patrons.
