High/Low: The “It” Live-Edge Trestle Table

BDDW's live-edge trestle dining table with cast bronze legs has been the “it” table of the design world for a few years now, so it was only enough a matter of time before others took notice. Here are two eerily similar tables on offer at Anthropologie and West Elm.

High

Above: BDDW's Maple Slab Dining Table has a cast bronze wishbone base (it's available in several finishes, including natural bronze, dirty bronze, blackened bronze, and silver-plated bronze). The top is available with an oxidized or a bleached finish and in an oval or rectangular shape. It's also available with a walnut slab top. Contact BDDW for pricing.

Low

Above: Anthropologie's Nemus Dining Table has a “live-edge slab of smoked European white oak top with butterfly details and recycled brass legs with a bronze finish; the 80-inch size is $2,498 and the 108-inch size is $2,798.

Above: West Elm's Cast Trestle Dining Table is $799 for the 68-inch wide table and $1,039 for the 86-inch wide table. The live-edge table top is acacia wood with a “burnished amber” finish; the metal legs have an “antique brass finish” (while Anthropologie attempts to achieve a handmade look in their version, the West Elm copy of the BDDW table has a distinctly machine-made look).
