Quality Garden Products Welcome to G Plants 2016 Catalogue It has been an exciting couple of years for G Plants, moving to new, larger premises with manufacturing and showroom in one location last year, working with Myerscough College for product trials and exhibiting at more international exhibitions. This year we’re also happy to announce the 10th anniversary of one of our best selling products. Since the launch of our easy gardening range in 2006, Shake n’ Rake™ has been a firm favourite throughout the UK. Over the years the range has grown to now include colour collections, garden themes and new mixtures to encourage wildlife into our gardens. As part of our 10 year anniversary we have developed a new range of easy gardening products to encourage precious pollinators and other wildlife into our gardens. Introducing Bee Friends™ with nature range, including new Shake n Rake™ varieties, fabulous multi-pack collections and easy to use seed carpets. Nature lovers will be blown away with the sheer number of new wildlife friendly summer flowering seed varieties we have within the range and also the new products available exclusively through G Plants Ltd. Growing Trials
Quality Testing of G Plants Shake n Rake™ Myerscough Trials Continuing with our successful relationship with Myerscough College, we have continued to work with the tutors and students on campus this year, offering students the chance to work alongside industry whilst studying for their agricultural qualifications. Our trials this year were extended to include our new specialised wildlife mixtures and oriental vegetables. Our continuing partnership with the college allows us to not only quality test our ranges but to build on our product range and develop new exciting collections which will appeal to todays demanding consumers.
We actively encourage our customers to come and view the trials every year. By the time this brochure reaches your hands the trials will be almost over, but why not come to see our trials in 2016. Bee Friends™ with nature Complete Wildlife Friendly Range
NEW for 2016 2016 sees the introduction of our new Bee Friends™ with nature range which is a complete wildlife friendly collection. Specially chosen flower varieties will attract specific wildlife and will also help sustain native and protected species in consumers gardens.
Every product has been specially designed and produced to help and encourage different species which can be found in both rural and urban environments. Packaging is clearly labeled with wildlife diagrams so that consumers can design their gardens to create a more diverse and food rich environment for their favourite garden critters.
Specially selected flower varieties that will attract small insects and aphids. This will then attract Ladybugs and other beneficial insects which will consume the insects and pollen from the flowers and protect your blooms all summer from pests.

Tall flower varieties and ornamental grasses provide cover for smaller native birds from larger birds and other predators. Grasses provide seed for the birds to eat throughout the season with flowers providing seed towards autumn. Birds will also feed off the insects attracted to the flowers providing further nourishment.
Nectar rich flower varieties attract butterflies and moths. Butterflies and moths are colorful attractive visitors which are useful pollinators and are a vital part of the food chain for birds and bats.
Night flowering blossoms will attract night insects such as moths, beetles, crane-flies and daddy long legs. Bats will feed on these insects and may even roost in tall climbing flower varieties.
Providing plants in a landscape with overlapping bloom periods will help bees survive and prosper. Flowers rich in pollen and nectar will sustain multiple species of bees from Spring when queens are establishing nests through to summer when they are preparing for hibernation.

Bird & Insect House
Bed & Breakfast Bird House This pretty bird house not only provides shelter for birds but also provides nesting families with a source of food as insects move into the sheltered sections on either side of the nesting box. The nesting box is made of natural materials with a small amount of chicken wire to provide shelter for insects from predators and non toxic paint to the roof. The nesting box has been designed for smaller bird varieties such as tits, warblers, finches, sparrows, robins and wrens.
