Online resources like Mango Languages or CultureGrams—great for learning about the history, culture, or language of your travel destination—free with your library card via greenvillelibrary.org/learning-center

DK Eyewitness: Highly visual and colorful, with lots of photos and maps

Fodor’s: Written by locals, information is organized geographically as well as thematically

Frommer’s: Great for lower-budget travelers Lonely Planet: Feature unusual destinations for a variety of budgets

Moon: Geared toward travelers who enjoy an independent travel experience with lots of outdoor exploration

Rick Steves: Filled with practical tips with a focus on European travel Rough Guide: Britain-focused and published, offers an insider's perspective which provides context for historical sites
