MUMMING
at the GAAAB luncheon, unique items handmade for the annual Craft Fair by GA Middle Schoolers adorn the center of the luncheon tables. Every guest gets to take home an item, such as homemade scented soaps, candles, jewelry, or beautiful ornament.
Alumnae, current GA families, and students of all ages enjoyed an evening version of the Mumming Ceremony. The program opened with a History of Mumming, read to the audience by three seniors, and continued on with singing of carols, including the traditional alumnae carol “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.” The program concluded with “O Holy Night” sung by the juniors and “Silent Night” sung by the seniors, both songs supported by the Madrigals, and the unveiling of the tableau. A lively reception followed in the Arts Atrium.
