Community Campout

Families are encouraged to stay all night, however if a family chooses to leave the campsite early for whatever reason, they may do so, but must notify event staff before departing the park.

No individual ground fires/campfires allowed. We will have a campfire provided by the Greenwood Fire Foundation.

No outside grills allowed

Join us for our 2nd Annual Community Campout on Saturday, September 16 located in Freedom Park. What a great way to kick off the fall season!

We encourage you to be a part of this tradition.

The event will include dinner, fishing derby, movie, camp fire, breakfast and many more fun activities

Price per campsite: $50.00 (max campers per site - 6) 1 tent per campsite location - 50 campsites available.

Event Guidelines

No RV’s or campers will be allowed. Tents OnlyTent locations are first come/first serve

A parent or guardian must stay on the site with their family all night. You will be required to sign in and designate the adult who is staying on the site.

No consumption of alcohol or use of tobacco products allowed on park property.

Severe Weather Information

If severe weather occurs during the event or overnight such as thunderstorms, lightning or heavy rain, Freedom Springs will be designated as the event shelter. Parks and Recreation will require everyone to move indoors. It will be the participant’s decision whether you stay indoors at Freedom Springs during the inclement weather or go home.
