Virtual Journey You can’t deny the usefulness of Google Street View. It can be clumsy sometimes, but what you get from it, is certainly worth the effort. Here comes another use of this cool website. Hyperlapse is a project totally independent from Google, that uses all the photos stored in Street View memory. You can make a custom route (of course if it’s in Street View) and hyperlapse will make a movie out of it. With angle of view of your choice.

Those that complain about moving between the pictures will certainly appreciate this project.

Is it a bird, is it a plane? No, it’s Old Spice. Yeah, we know, it’s very cheap joke. But we simply don’t know what to say about all those new brilliant commercials for Old Spice. There is too many of them, and they are too good to describe. This time Wieden+Kennedy agency comes up with spots for new Old Spice product – soap. But, as with all the other Old Spice products, this can’t be no ordinary soap, and these won’t be no ordinary spots. They just can’t stop with those brilliantly absurd ads, they just can’t.

What a fine ladies Hamburgers are becoming pretty big here in Poland, but still the only restaurants serving them, that can afford TVC, is MacDonald’s. It’s a shame, because they sometimes come up with clever ways to get what they want.

Carl’s Jr. is an American chain restaurant serving burgers. Their commercials’ main (and only) distinguishing mark is using scantily clad lady (often quite famous ladies) flashing her assets. In the final scene she have to bite on a hamburger that is usually the size of her. As you might imagine – everything is overflowing with cheap, beach-style erotic. But in New Zeland Carl’s Jr, was stopped by strict law forbidding use of such sexual context. So they choose to bypass the obstructive law by creating clever radio commercials about their newest spot.

In those commercials the funny but serious narrator describes the TVC step by step, using words that would never unnerve any censor. And of course there is no sexual context. On the right you can see the original spot, below is the radio commercial. http://youtu.be/3jx_NcuZXac

Thank god Divine interventions in our everyday lives can be quite problematic to trace. But not anymore – here comes useful website to track it. The website www.god-washere.com, aggregates all the tweets about god (usually in a simple form of „thank god for coffee”). It counts them and divides into several useful categories. Useful If you want to know if taxi cabs are more popular amongst believers than coaches. Shame that it only takes USA into account and Poles are not big fans of Twitter. We’d love to see result here in Poland.

If I were a rich man Except the divine interventions, there is another issue that seems to bother Poles – whether the Poland is awesome, or quite the opposite. We like it, but if you’re not sure, we present you the tool that might help you make this difficult decision. On the website www.ifitweremyhome.com, you can compare two different countries. You can see what would be more suitable for you, considering few important factors (like work hours, average salary, electricity use, etc.) Then you can tell if your country is more awesome then other countries or not.

The website evolved from a little project that compared oil spill in Mexican Bay in 2010 to different countries territories.

last idea \\ augmented childhood Have you ever dreamed your Lego cars and castles come to life? Now Lego can fulfil this dream (maybe no longer yours, but at least your kid’s – this counts too).
