Cyber touch Durex, condom manufacturer encourages people to be close. Very close. But what to do, if two people are separated by distance that makes such closeness impossible? To answer this problem, the interesting idea was developed in Australia as a part of "Durexperimentsâ€? project. Special underwear with touch-imitating sensors constructed. Underwear is connected to smartphone using application which can be controled by other person over long distances (continent-long distances). This way separated couples can still have funď Š.

Polityka Insight And now something serious. The new initiative by one of polish best weekly newsmagazines, „Polityka”, has finally saw the light of day. „Polityka Insight” is a new project set to become professional analytical center delivering deep reports on economic, social and political changes in Poland. „Polityka” follows in the footsteps of „Economist” that employs such a team for quite some time now. Seems like a professional way to make more money when just publishing magazine is not enought. Certainly better idea than adding DVDs. „Polityka Insight” is runed by Wawrzyniec Smoczyński, Polityka’s economic journalist. www.politykainsight.pl
Nonstandard product launch How to show the new product to as many customers as you can has always been a challenge. When TV advertising is to expensive, there is a need to find new, creative ways to reach your target group. Weetabix came with such a creative way to launch their new cookies using very direct marketing. To receive free package one must show cashier a picture of a TV commercial. TVC was screened on a specific date and hour, so everyone could prepare their smartphones. It is no a new idea to combine TV with real life, but quite brilliant one. Very engaging and interactive – no one would pay so much attention to normal TVC. And it certainly lower the costs of reaching target group.
Vending machine for dogs Many times we wrote about cool actions featuring vending machines. But never have we shown any that was designed for dogs (but sadly not yet by dogs). Few months ago in Polish version of Grey’t Ideas Weekly we presented Delites cookies vending machine that made people do crazy stuff for a pack of Delites. Now we present first vending machine for dogs. It is basically the same thing as Delites, but this time it makes dogs do crazy stuff (not really crazy for dog, but will do). In reward they get some treats from Bakers (dog food manufacturer from UK) Dogs would do antything to get Bakers treat. In the end, we’re all mammals. Commercials-influenced mammals.

Contagious science Scientists are weird and science itself is boring and unclear. These stereotypes are strongly undermined lately, either thanks to Mohawk Guy, or to Carnegie Mellon’s Oreobot, here in Poland CN Kopernik does good job. Today we have another example of science made interesting: Canadian Space Agency and Chris Hadfield, astronaut. CSA uploaded a series of short films, where Chris talks about his day-to-day life on the International Space Station, about usual things astronauts need to deal with. He leads us through peculiarities of zero gravity life. Charismatic, „social media friendly” host, interesting subjects – and thus we have hundreds of thousands views on YouTube. Enjoy. last idea\\ dancing bear Blue bear dancing to the beat of „I like big butts by Sir Mix-A-Lot. Strange? Not at all, just ordinary toilet paper commercial.

It’s not the first commercial from Charmin that makes use of coloured bears and peculiar sense of humour.
There is something strangely disturbing in those ads.
Thank you for your attention and see you next Friday
