Victorian Racing Tribunal
Lindsay Morshead – VRT Hearing 8 April 2021 – (GAR) 83(2), failed to present the greyhounds “Ginger Bar” & “Esmay” free of any prohibited substance ‘Arsenic’ for events at Shepparton on 25 June 2020 & 12 October 2020. Mr Morshead pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a 12mths suspension with 6mths suspended. “Ginger Bar” & “Esmay” were disqualified from the events.
Robert Whitford – VRT Hearing 9 April 2021 – (GAR) 83(2) & 84A(1), failed to present the greyhound “Ricky Racoon” free of any prohibited substance ‘Ca eine’ for an event Healesville on 28 August 2020. Mr Whitford pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed 6mths suspension with 3mths suspended. Ricky Racoon was disqualified from the event.
Je rey Guy – VRT Hearing 13 April 2021 – (GAR) 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Jabba Bolt” free of any prohibited substance ‘Procaine’ for an event at Horsham on 25 August 2020. Mr Guy pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a fine of $1500 with $1000 suspended. Jabba Bolt was disqualified from the event.
Stefano Cassar – VRT Hearing 15 April 2021 – (GAR) 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Deep Dive” free of any prohibited substance ‘Meloxicam’ for a event at Warrnambool on 10 September 2020. Mr Cassar pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a fine of $1500 with $500 suspended. Deep Dive was disqualified from the event.
Melanie Lithgow – VRT Appeal 22 April 2021 – GAR 69A(1), the greyhound “Gotham Duke” was charged with Fail To Chase at The Meadows on 17 April 2021. Mrs Lithgow pleaded ‘Not Guilty’. The VRT dismissed the appeal.
Brian Alford – VRT Hearing 30 April 2021 – (GAR) 83(1A) & 83(2), failed to present the greyhound “Sad But True” free of any prohibited substance ‘Cobalt’ for an events at Sale on 6 September 2020. Mr Alford pleaded ‘Guilty’, The VRT imposed a 12mths suspension with 10mths suspended. Sad But True was disqualified from the event.
