The golden horse with the golden heart With over 700 Haflinger horses from 18 nations, the Haflinger World Show is the biggest horse breeding event in the world.
The Fohlenhof in Ebbs will over four days be the perfect place for the whole family. There is a large tent with over 700 horses on show, the horse fair, a festival hall with a culinary and musical programme, a daily Haflinger Show, as well as three evening events – the Haflinger World Show is a first class 4-day festival.
The Fohlenhof Ebbs has once again been selected as a venue by the General Assembly of the World Haflinger Breeders and Sports Association. This international highlight, running from 4th to 7th June 2015, again places the Fohlenhof at the centre of attention of all horse breeders worldwide.
Founded in 1920, since 1947 the Tyrolean Haflinger Horse Breeders Association has regularly hosted large international shows. All five Haflinger World Shows have since 1990 been hosted by the Fohlenhof Ebbs.
The Haflinger World Show has a well-deserved international reputation and importance.
With its exhibition horses, foals and show horses, more than 1,000 Haflinger horses will be participating over five days at the Haflinger World Show in Ebbs, the biggest breeding show in the world. The large stable tents, where approximately 700 horses will be accommodated, are particularly impressive.
Leading companies too will be presenting horse-related products on stands at the special fair. Visitors can enjoy Tyrolean hospitality every day with culinary delights from Tyrol and Austria in the festival hall, a convivial place for all horse lovers to meet.
The Fohlenhof Arena can accommodate 4,000 visitors under covered grandstands and has a 1500 m² presentation area. Throughout the day visitors can observe the horses as they are assessed. The individual class winners as well as the champion mares and stallions will be chosen each day inside the arena.
The Haflinger World Show is unaffected by bad weather, as all spectator areas are covered and the show is held on a relatively small area at the centre of the stud farm. There is ample parking for all visitors immediately next to the Fohlenhof.
The Haflinger – a living cultural asset from Tyrol
The daily highlight in the Fohlenhof Arena is the international Haflinger Show, with an action-packed and entertaining show programme. Besides the dressage, alternative riding styles, such as Western riding, will be on show. Visitors can enjoy the presentation of equestrian vaulting, paired horses, longeing and lots more. There will also be demonstrations of carriage driving, from singles to six-in-hand, and performances representing the various nations involved. Traditional displays will pay further tribute to the history of the Haflinger horse over 100 years.
The 2015 show, the largest of its kind in the world, will not only show the Haflinger as a world-class breed but also demonstrate the success in breeding over more than 20 generations, while proving the suitability of the Haflinger for sporting and particularly for leisure activities. The show is considered to be the finest horse event of the year, leaving every horse lover who visits it with lasting memories.
