Pprofessors Andrei Lublinksy and Maria Zaborovskaya have
been working together since the early 1990s. Their first joint works were the result of co-operation with the Hundred Projects art group. The group’s aim was to create one hundred projects combining art and design. Seventy such projects were completed, including graphics, sculpture, photography, video, objects d’art and work with space. Since 2001 Zaborovskaya and Lublinksy have been engaged in teaching activities; this led to the formation of a new group entitled the Pprofessors, as part of which they have designed educational programmes and master classes where they aim to develop their students’ creative skills in play form. Alongside their teaching activities, they have created numerous art projects – objects, sculpture, graphics and art-toys. In conjunction with the following galleries and institutions: Fargfabriken Centre of Modern Art and Architecture (Stockholm), Compost Gallery, Institute of Contemporary Art of Nordic Countries /NIFCA/ (Helsinki), Espoon kulttuurikeskus /Culture center of Espoo city/ (Espoo), Corey Helford Gallery (Los Angeles), Guelman Gallery, Contemporary Art Center Winzavod, Aidan-Gallery, М’ars Gallery, Fine Art Gallery, Gridchinhall, Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO, Garage Center for Contemporary Culture (Moscow), Mitki-VKHUTEMAS gallery, The State Hermitage, State Russian museum, Dostoevsky Museum, The State Museum of Urban Sculpture, Loft Project ETAZHI, Globus Gallery, Anna Nova Gallery, 100 SVOIKH Gallery, Modernariat Gallery (St Petersburg), Perpetuum Art Gallery (Kostroma), Perm Museum of Contemporary Art PERMM (Perm).
Red People. Art Constructor About the project
The Red People project is a modular system that is used to assemble an anthropomorphous character. This kind of constructor allows the user not only to manipulate the elements of the composition but also to go beyond the temporal framework and the borders of movements and genres in art. As a universal module, a kind of “viral phenomenon”, Red Man can work in practically any context, and it is not only positioned in the context but rather is completely integrated therein.

About Gridchinhall «You would ask: «what is this?» and «what is it for?». A lot of modern artists have got projects, which are difficult to implement in gallery format. We are orientated on those special original projects and ideas in contemporary art and culture. The prerequisite for non-profit art project’s realization from the very «zero» is the intersection of many necessary conditions in a single point. My private initiative as Gridchinhall’s founder is to create such a point. The main priority for the exhibition hall is to perform significant culture events of the high artistic and public values. I believe that Gridchinhall is lucky with the location. The nearest Moscow area, Dmitrovskoe village on Ilynskoe shosse (highway) is an exceptionally beautiful spot. This place has been known since XV century. It is located along the ancient Big Tsar Way to Zvenigorod. Even though geographically it is near to prestigious «Rublevka» it is oriented to everyone interested in contemporary art, regardless of residence. Exhibition hall has its own special feature − closeness to the nature, which has already become a part of some expositions. Exhibition hall was founded in autumn 2009. Since that time several full-scale art projects have been carried out. These are «Rembrandt’s Drawings» by Dmitriy Gutov, «Red People. ArtConstructor» by «Pprofessors» group, «Kulik’s Hair» by Dmitry Kawarga, «Stands» by Sergey Voronzov. Gridchinhall is also conceived as a residence for artists, kind of a space for cross-cultural exchange. During the work on the projects artists live and work in the studio, specially organized for that purpose in Gridchinhall. Now it became possible to combine countryside trip with visiting new contemporary art exhibition. This is a common European custom.Gridchinhall’s plans are to continue performing European level art projects.» Sergey Gridchin
