There is so much to see and experience during the festival, you won’t be disappointed. Seven beautiful open gardens, The LINX Launch Party, garden talks and workshops, the Griffith Multicultural Festival, Botanica – the Griffith Spring Fest Feast, MYFEST, long lunches, wine tastings, garden bus tours and so much more. Griffith is a wonderful multicultural community, with great food and wine, friendly people and great attractions. Over 70 creative and unique Citrus Sculptures will line Banna Avenue for 2 weeks. Witness this unique display made from over 100,000 locally grown oranges, by wandering through the sculptures. You might even see a talking robot, reclining chook, horse and cart or our very own giraffe. Be sure to share your experience by tagging @visitgriffith.

This picturesque country garden is set amongst a citrus orchard near the village of Hanwood. It has recently been extended to compliment the original garden, featuring an abundance of roses and cottage plants. Visitors can wander through the many different sections of this expansive garden enjoying the rose arbours and colourful walkways. Throughout this setting, sunshine gates, cast iron water fountains, a Furphy water cart and various other Australian memorabilia add character to this beautiful rural garden. Davit Farm is a constantly evolving, gracious, three acre garden divided into large spans with French and Italian influences. The main delights are formal lily pond, a Monet lake and bridge, a white trunked forest in which a huge sculpture, “Irony”, resides, a May and Mulberry walk, species rose garden, beautiful bronzes and spectacular dry stone work. Every seat has its purpose whether it be to enjoy the view, a cuppa, a beverage or a chat to an old friend. Walking through Emeri’s garden is like stepping into another world far removed from the busy winery and vineyards surrounding it. Every plant and tree has a unique story to tell. The breathtaking garden also features an impressive dam and a rock waterfall that overlooks the internationally renowned Noble One vineyards. Discover your own story in Emeri’s garden, a decade in the making and immerse yourself in the tranquillity. Stay and enjoy a cuppa and browse the stalls by Griffith Can Assist. All funds are utilized to directly financially support our Griffith cancer affected families.
The garden at “Yambiana” is a traditional country garden that has been 54 years in the making. Patricia Jones, now 98 years of age, has nurtured both exotic and native species of trees to create a sanctuary that has survived through drought and flood. The garden features mature trees and expansive lawns. The garden has undergone restoration during 2019 following a period of extreme weather variability.

Learn about the Dorper breed of sheep, including the suitability of the breed to the Australian landscape. Wirlinga Park rams are sires to lambs produced by Yambiana Australia at Tabbita. Yambiana Australia lamb, roasted whole, will be available for lunch from Friday through to Sunday from 11.30am.

This garden is a small formal garden with a variety of edges including Murraya’s, Lilly Pillies, Japanese Box, English Box, Ligustrums, all being used along fence lines, around urns, water features and divides the garden into different areas. There is also a small selection of bush roses & Iceberg roses. Entering the backyard you will find potted Camellias, Little Gem Magnolias, and a variety of succulents and archways. Explore the rustic areas full of items like mirrors, ladders, bicycles and old doors. Wormtech Pty Ltd is a producer and supplier of 100% Australian compost worm products, located locally in Carathool. Learn about vermiculture and composting, and how Wormtech is converting local waste streams into valuable soil ameliorants. Wormtech compost has been applied in the garden at Yambiana.

Learn about artistic landscaping using decorative red pebble. Pleasant Valley Red Metal has been used in iconic locations including Anzac Parade in Canberra, and is used within the garden at Yambiana. Alex will cover the geological origins of the red pebble and environmental management of the quarry.
