TRUCKS
1
The frame
A steel frame is made to strengthen the concrete
2
Concrete
Concrete is then poured into the frame
3
Setting
Once the concrete sets, the supports are removed
4
Embedding
Large anchor bolts are embedded deep into the concrete
Mobile Crane
A different type of crane is needed for this part of the process. The mobile crane is hired to help in early stages of construction
Constructing
The mobile crane lifts the jib and the counter jib into place so that it can then go on to heighten itself
Piece by piece
Small parts of the tower are carried by the trolley towards the mast
Building itself
Once the bottom of the frame has been erected and both arms have been added to the crane, the crane is then able to build itself
Ascending
The crane lifts itself until there is an empty slot in the tower. The new piece is then slotted in and this repeats.
Height
This can continue until the crane reaches upto
265 ft
