A Stormy Day A STORMY DAY In Keswick

Ida’s windy adventure in Keswick
Exploration
It was my first field trip with my illustration class, and my hopes were high. I heard the weather forecast say it was going to be windy with chances of rain, but I didn’t want to believe that. I had new friends, and I was excited to spend time with them. We first arrived at the Castlerigg Stone Circle. It was a beautiful sight, with a great view over all the hills and mountains. That picturesque landscape would soon change to be a game of catch, where I was the ball. The wind was flinging us everywhere, but I was still laughing and smiling. We took pictures of the historical site, and filmed ourselves.
I was hoping that when we went into town the wind wouldn’t be too bad, and that we would be shielded by the buildings, I was wrong. The leaves were falling everywhere, and conkers were falling on our heads. Rustleee... PLONK!
The buildings were looming tall and dark, almost touching the stormy sky. They stood steadfast however, while the winds hit theit walls.
I felt myself longing for shelter and warmth, not being able to resist the urge to nag and whine. Whyyy? Ughhh..
Swissshhhhh Swissshhhhh Swissshhhhh
My friends felt the same way, and we were all trying to get snug in our sweaters
The orange glow of the store windows were drawing me in. I savioured the feeling of warmth when I entered the stores, and was amazed by the coziness and loveliness of the inside, compared to the outside.
I still had a good day.
