Eloise read in the Royal City Eloise Carbone read some poems that she had beta-tested on us at the Grind Writers, at the NewWest Poetry group on November 5th at the Heritage Grill in the New Westminster. Eloise was featured along with well-known Vancouver poet, Kyle Hawke, The group of poems she read was about having found a feeling of belonging on visiting her newfound family in the small town of her grandparents in Calabria, Southern Italy. This day will be devoted to developing the plot for the story you’re working on. Come prepared to apply special exercises to your work in progress. There will be lots of time to write. In this hands-on workshop, you'll begin to design your character’s “arc” — that personal journey of transformation that lends meaning to narrative. As you explore your character’s outer desire and inner need within the context of beliefs and values, a map of growth will emerge that will guide your unfolding story. San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
