The i8 Concept Spyder represents a vision of the future where intelligent thinking, advanced materials and innovative construction techniques fuse together to create a high performance roadster that is outstandingly efficient and environmentally aware. In effect, the i8 Concept Spyder possesses the performance of a sports car with the consumption of a city car. Although closely related to the original i8 Concept, the new i8 Concept Spyder is strictly a two-seater, with a shorter wheelbase and new, upward swivelling, windowless doors. It also features a fresh interpretation of the i8’s interior design, and additional on-board equipment including a pair of electric scooters, housed under a transparent tailgate. Underneath the athletic and futuristic exterior skin, the i8 Concept Spyder is as advanced as its CoupÊ relation, built, once again, around the innovative LifeDrive architecture and underpinned by lightweight, modular construction.

THE WINNER OF THE 12 WEEK CHALLENGE IS
OLI WARD!
WEEK 1
WEEK 12
8
Not So Average Anymore! Winner of UK-wide challenge lands dream job to join the team as an official Maximuscle ambassador Oliver Ward, an engineer from Warndon, Worcester was crowned winner of the Protein Project - a 12 week campaign backed by some of the UK’s leading sports stars including; Amir Khan, Jenson Button, Nick Compton and Courtney Lawes and celebrities including Professor Green. The Protein Project launched in December 2012, offering the chance for three average guys to take on a 12 week challenge to change their lives and bodies. Oliver beat competition from the two other finalists (James Goddard and David Rielly) to win £5,000 in cash and become the newest ambassador for the UK’s leading sports nutrition brand, Maximuscle. Oliver was voted winner of the Protein Project following a decision made by a four person panel consisting of; TV presenter, Andi Peters, leading personal trainer, Charlotte Ord, England Rugby captain, Chris Robsaw and media fitness expert, John Lipsey. A Facebook poll which generated over 5,000 votes for all of the competitors also counted as a vote. Oliver said: “This has been an incredible journey and I’m delighted to have been voted the winner. A lot of men want to be fitter, leaner, stronger and faster but
struggle to find time to fit going to the gym and getting the right nutrition around existing commitments. I hope that by watching the progress I’ve made they will see that with the right attitude, advice and nutritional products, that anybody can get the results they want.” Former four-time world champion British boxer and Maximuscle ambassador Amir Khan said: “All three finalists have been through a schedule that would bring an international athlete to their knees. Comparing their before and after photographs and fitness test results make me, and all of those involved in the Protein Project, so proud of their achievements. The Protein Project proves that anyone can reach their fitness goals with hard work and the right nutritional advice.” James O’Shea, Marketing Director of Maximuscle, said: “There is a common misconception about sports nutrition products with people assuming they are just for elite athletes and bodybuilders not understanding how, when or where to take protein as part of a healthy diet. The truth is that protein plays a big part in helping support any active lifestyle and can make a big difference to those wanting to improve their sporting performance or change body shape. The Protein Project set out to prove the difference protein can make and we hope everyone can see the results of our three guys and start their own Protein Project.”
9
The Protein Project has been Maximuscle’s way of tackling the problem of time vs. healthy-lifestyle head-on to overcome the common myths that surround protein and show the difference that protein can make to the everyday person. The campaign has demonstrated how Maximuscle products can help you achieve your goals by providing convenient, tasty solutions to help you hit your daily protein requirements. Oliver continues: “While the physical changes are clear to see, I’ve also changed on the inside in terms of my approach to work, socialising and relaxing. I feel fitter and healthier and more able to perform at my sport. The nutritional education I’ve received has helped me understand how and when my body needs protein and how this impacts what I eat and when. Although the Protein Project has finished, this is definitely only the start for me and I’m looking forward to being part of the team at Maximuscle.”

“I love to travel and experience new and exciting destinations and as Editor of National Weddings Magazine I feel it’s important to offer my opinions and recommendations. After receiving numerous emails and talking to our readers, I’ve discovered that more and more couples are looking for something a little bit different in a honeymoon destination, yet still want an element of romance and luxury. I therefore had no hesitation when Scott Butcher, General Manager of the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, Dubai offered me the chance to visit his hotel. I couldn’t wait to see what Dubai and the Kris Kin had to offer. Dubai is just a six hour flight away and as such offers you the option to enjoy a short yet fascinating honeymoon, or an amazing stop-over en-route to more exotic locations. The Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel is the latest offering from the Stay Well Hospitality Group whose brand encapsulates what guests want and deserve from a quality hotel. The Kris Kin doesn’t disappoint, starting with the Park Regis philosophy of exceptional guest service without the matching price tag. Everything about the Kris Kin is set to impress. It offers subtle sophistication, mixing formal and casual areas in an effort to suit every requirement. But it’s the little touches that make you feel you’ve become part of something really special; Cold towels and refreshing juice upon arrival and music in the bathroom for example or a ‘pillow menu . It’s hard not to feel special as each member of staff acknowledges you and make you feel most welcome. With a choice of 392 deluxe and superior rooms, luxurious Burj Suites and extremely spacious 2 bedroom Suites, the Kris Kin has everything you need including an impeccable and personal service. Lush fabrics and plush décor make for unique interiors providing an opulent feel. The sheer range of hotel facilities raises the bar including uninterrupted views across Dubai from the roof top swimming pool, comprehensive fitness centre complete with modern work-out equipment, Jacuzzi, sauna and steam room. The food is outstanding , with significant choices. You’re bound to be impressed by the diverse range of dining options the hotel has

to offer; Le Metro is a modern interpretation of a classic French Brasserie offering authentic French cuisine with an accent on International flavours. The Grandstand is the latest Sports Bar in Dubai, featuring a state-of-the-art HD television system and an innovative Gastro Pub menu. Marhaba is an ideal meeting place, offering a fantastic selection of homemade pastries and snacks in addition to a variety of coffees, teas, chocolates, mocktails and juices. Club 7 is a high energy nightclub that draws you in with its hip ambiance. The club comes alive every evening with the hottest beats and trendy crowd. The delectable menu is tailored to suit higher tastes and is accompanied with an indulgent cocktail list. For a real treat you can dine in the recently created ‘KRIS WITH A VIEW’. Have your senses overwhelmed by breathtaking views, the aroma of exotic cuisines, live music and an ambiance you can feel. Situated on the 19th floor, this restaurant has enviable views of the Dubai City skyline and a sumptuous menu to match. When asked what he considered to be the hotel’s key features, General Manager, Scott Butcher said: “We’re proud of our spacious rooms and the view from the roof-top pool is enviable, as is our ideal location. Our new ‘Pan Asian’ restaurant offers a fantastic menu which follows the spice trail and features magnificent 360 ° views across the whole of Dubai”. I loved this hotel and would recommend it to both honeymoon couples and travelers alike. For a honeymoon, The Kris Kin Hotel offers couples the chance to experience luxurious accommodation, whilst benefiting from a great location from which to tour the whole of Dubai. The food was delicious, the service impeccable and the staff couldn’t have been more friendly, sometimes going out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. …and it was. Thank you Scott Butcher & all the staff at the Park Regis Kris Kin Hotel, Dubai.

MUST DO
Dubai
Morning City Tour This tour gives you a fantastic insight into both the old and new Dubai. We had a private tour with a guide who was both friendly and very informative. We visited The Creek, a natural sea-water inlet which cuts through the centre of the city and is the historic focal point of life in Dubai; Burj Al Arab, one of a handful of seven star hotels in the world. The Burg Al Arab boast magnificent architecture, having been designed to resemble a billowing sail. We also saw the Dubai Marina – a man made marina and then finally the Burj Dubai, which is the tallest building in the world.
The Desert Safari
The Park Regis Kris Kin hotel is ideally based to easily enjoy the many delights and attractions that awaits visitors to Dubai. As we were only in Dubai for 5 nights we wanted to experience as much as possible, yet at the same time, enjoying some time together for rest and relaxation. When we weren’t relaxing by the fantastic roof-top pool, at the Kris Kin Hotel, we were out and about, visiting the Gold Souks and magnificent shopping malls. We were also lucky enough to enjoy the three top tourist trips in Dubai; Desert Safari, Morning City Tour and Dhow Dinner Cruise. I would definitely recommend these trips to any visitor
We spent an enthralling afternoon ‘dune bashing’ through the desert in a 4X4, sand boarding and camel riding. We watched the sun set over the sand dune hills as we enjoyed an evening BBQ Dinner. We also had the opportunity to experience henna painting and get dressed in Arabic costumes for photos. The evening culminated with a fabulous belly dance show.

Dhow Dinner Cruise
We enjoyed a very romantic buffet dinner taking in the beautiful city lights on a traditional Dhow. These boats are a treat for the eyes. Covered in small lights, they glide down the Creek with an air of majesty and mystery. The three course buffet had something to suit every taste and dietary requirement and we were served soft drinks throughout. This is a wonderfully romantic evening, ideal for a couple on honeymoon.

BA World Traveller Plus We flew with B.A. and were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to World Traveller Plus. I’d often considered paying to upgrade our seats, but didn’t really know if it was worth the extra cost. After our experience, I’d definitely recommend it. Especially on a night flight such as ours, as you benefit from larger leg room and wider seats and there’s a more exclusive feel to it. It’s a great way to start a honeymoon.
