Free Workshops Delivered in your school by Groundwork Three STEM workshops on the Green Economy Linked to Key Stage 3 Science and Geography Curriculum 1: What is the Green Economy?

Students are introduced to green jobs and the green economy and engage critically with the latest debates surrounding climate change, sustainability and population growth.

2: Design a Sustainable City

Students explore a range of innovative green technologies. Working in groups, they evaluate and prioritise these technologies as part of a challenge to design a sustainable city.

3: Create a Wind Turbine

Students design and build a working turbine to generate clean electricity. This hands-on workshop develops creative thinking, teamwork, problem solving, and the students’ ability to hypothesise, measure, test and evaluate.

A flexible programme • No teacher prep needed, we provide all materials. • Workshops are usually 1 hour but can be adjusted to suit your time table. • Option for double lessons. • Suitable for a full class or smaller groups • Book 1 or more workshop.
