BUSINESS HIERARCHY OF NEEDS® – A CHANGE MANAGEMENT FRAMEWORK

The Business Hierarchy of Needs® is a change management framework designed to provide senior leaders with a recipe for building a business strategy, designing an organization to support it and successfully implementing it creating a culture of strategic execution™.

Group50’s Business Hierarchy of Needs®

Group50 developed the Business Hierarchy of Needs®, a change management model for ensuring the successful strategic execution culture. It's a collection of three activities for defining strategy, optimizing the organization, and implementing change that make up an effective change management process. Every company, to some extent, follows the Business Hierarchy of Needs®, which has proven to be quite effective.

Here are the three levels of this framework:-

1. Analysis and planning of data

This level concentrated on identifying the data that explains the current condition and laying the framework for building well-defined plans that will lead to a defined future state. The Group50

Business Hierarchy of Needs®, incorporates two more elements: MIG (most important goal) and Value Proposition, in addition to mission, vision, and values. Many objectives must be met by businesses, yet they all revolve around one central goal.

2. Knowledge and change management

The organization uses cascading objectives to address operational and strategic gaps after goal setting is completed. They figure out the best organizational structure, skill mapping, training needs, and performance management. Many companies invest a great amount of time and effort into building two-level change management plans and preparing their organizations for success.

3. Implementation

Following the completion of the strategy, the organization must prepare for the simple part: implementation. Some of the strategic plans are revolutionary, while others are more gradual. For implementation, it is important that the strategy plan is based on the rate and amount of change, level of automation and technology, and size of strategic gaps.
