Grove City College and Its Trustees. Few people realize what it means to be an active trustee of a progressive college. They are prone to think alone of the honor which attaches to the position and not of the responsi
bility. They believe that his duties are more or less nominal and do not require much time or effort.
Such a conception is entirely false. There are few avoca tions which call for such expenditures of time and effort as well
as of money as the office of trustee, And there are few offices which call for men of such high qualifications as this one. When
you meet an active trustee of a college you may be reasonably sure that he is a man worth knowing. Such a man will possess breadth of vision and interest. He will have the spirit of sacri-
