GROWING CHANGE

FEEDING OUR FUTURE

The real cause of hunger is the powerlessness of the poor to gain access to the resources they need to feed themselves.

Our vision is for a healthy and socially vibrant, food secure Australia. _____ We are a not-for-profit social enterprise who co-creates, builds and maintains productive and therapeutic gardens with people and families on low incomes, and those most vulnerable to food insecurity, homelessness and social isolation. We provide therapeutic horticultural experiences and run educational programs that focus on food production, processing, distribution, consumption and waste management. Our work

creates social, cultural, economic and environmental impact. Our projects include landscaping, urban agriculture, place-making and revitalisation, pop-up productive gardens, community capacity building and education. Our approach is backed by quality research and community development principles. We are Growing Change to turn food insecurity and social isolation on its head.

Our programs and gardens are built on long-term sustainability principles and we are committed to ensuring that people facing long-term unemployment are actively involved in our projects.

We partner with award winning experts including architects, horticulturists, landscapers and builders to deliver residential and commercial projects.

We work with communities to co-design beautiful and useful gardens and landscapes.
