Rieke 速 Adaptor
Standard Bung Adaptor
Pump Length Extender
PUMP ASSEMBLY & USE 1. Take out all constituents from the packaging 2. Keep the pump next to the drum on which it is to be used. If you feel that the pump length is short, assemble the Pump Length Extender at the bottom of the suction tube by simply sliding it. 3. Take out the different bung adaptors provided with the pump. Try them onto the bung opening on the drum before assembling with the pump. There can be several different types of bung adaptors included depending on the configuration ordered. Some of the popular bung adaptor types include 2” Standard Bung, Bung for use with Rieke® Plastic Pull Out spout, Coarse Buttress Thread adaptor, Adaptor for Plastic drums, Knuckle thread adaptor for Metal drums etc. The one that fits best is the one that has to be assembled with the pump.
7. Connect the discharge spout onto the outlet. The steel spout can just be slid in as it has reverse threads which forms a good connection. Once fitted, the steel spout cannot be removed. Some pump configurations may include a PVC spout which comes with a steel spring clip which makes the connection tight onto the pump outlet. 8. Now slide the pump into the drum from the opening & connect it to the drum using the bung adaptor. 9. Pump is now ready for use. 10. Pump can be operated by simply pulling the Lift handle. When using for the first time, it may take up to about 5 strokes or so for the pump to prime. Pump dispenses in the upward stroke. 11. Amount of media dispensed is controlled by controlling the handle lift
4. Take the best fit adaptor & slide it onto the suction tube. 5. There is a locking ring all around the pump head on which the bung adaptor would lock. Note that this process is irreversible & once you have fitted one adaptor, you cannot change it. 6. Push the Bung Adaptor onto the locking ring. This would need a little extra force & you would be able to push it fully onto the locking ring & have a secure connection.
Note: Pump has many plastic parts & must be handled with care. Pump must never be dropped as pump head & other parts are prone to fracture Never bend the discharge spout as it may cause it to kink resulting in crack / fracture
