Assembly & Operation :

Connect the plunger rod to the lever handle. Make sure you connect plunger rod with the 2 holes on the extreme end of the lever handle using rivet & locking clip supplied with the pump
2 Now connect the connecting link attached to the lever handle with the 2 holes on the pump casting. Use the "J" shaped hose hanger to make this connection. After holes on the connecting link are aligned with the 2 holes in the casting, insert the "J" shaped hose hanger from it's longer leg. Rotate the "J" shaped hose hanger, such that the smaller leg falls between the two protrusions on the casting. Use locking clip on the other side.
3 Assemble the Telescopic Suction Tube on the pump inlet. It is good practice to use a thread sealant such as Teflon in connecting the Telescopic SuctionTube to the Pump inlet. Tighten the connection.

Extend the telescopic suction tube to it's full length & insert the suction tube connected with the pump into the drum from the 2" threaded opening on the drum
5 Once the bottom of the Suction Tube touches the base of the drum, securely fasten the bung (built-in into the pump body) onto the drum.
6 Take an empty container & place it below the discharge spout. Start operating the Lever handle. Within a maximum of 10 strokes, Pump will be primed & will start dispensing media.
7 In a rare case, where the pump does not prime, the same can be done by inserting about 30 ml of any oil from the pump outlet into the pump & operating the Lever handle for about 10 strokes. Oil Ca n

Priming There maybe some leakage of media from the plunger rod guiding nut. The nut is factory tightened for test media. Depending upon the viscosity of media used , the nut should be loosened or tightened to control any flow of media from this connection. Over tightening of Plunger Rod Guiding Nut may damage it.
If the pump is reused after an extended period of time, it may loose it’s prime & need re-priming, follow Step 7 above. TROUBLESHOOTING Sr. Nr

1.Pump should only be used in well-ventilated areas. Never fill containers in confined areas, e.g. inside a vehicle. Do not operate pump in areas where vapours can accumulate 2.Precautions are necessary to minimize the build-up of static charge, which could cause sparking 3.Always use Genuine anti-static hose when pumping petrol and other flammable liquids. 4. Fuel storage tanks and drums should be metal and grounded to earth. Ensure the floor or ground where fuel is stored or dispensed is and remains electrically conducive 5.Wear anti-static or conductive footwear and avoid wearing silk and/or synthetic clothing, unless treated with anti-static solution 6.Avoid prolonged skin contact with petroleum products. Use of protective goggles, gloves and aprons is recommended in case of accidental splashing or spillage. Change clothing and wash skin contact areas promptly with soap and water 7.When carrying out maintenance of this pump, for your own protection, thoroughly drain the pump and hose before disassembly. Clean flammable liquids from components as they are removed from the pump. Follow precautions when handling flammable liquids
