DIRECTIONS 1. Open the Screw on the bottom of the gage & install the 3 button Cells inside. Insert the Battery Spring & then close the screw. Screw must be tightened enough such that it is totally flushed inside 2. Place the Gage onto the work piece (must be electrically conducive metal) with the bottom of the gage touching the work piece. Carefully lower machine spindle to gently contact tip of the cutting tool with the probe on the gage 3. As soon as the cutting tool touches the probe, the light will go on. With the light glowing on, set your micrometer on the machine to zero. 4. Move the machine head to disconnect the gage from the work-piece. Once again lower the machine head to gently make contact. As soon as the Gage lights, stop & re-check micrometer reading. It should be zero 5. Remember the Gage Height is 2.000” , which means at the zero position , the tool has an exact 2.000” height offset from the work piece 6. When the light becomes faint, replace battery first , if problem persists , re-adjust Battery Spring to make good contact WARNING Do not run machine while using the gage
