Edificios de la Nueva Evangelización, construidos bellos e imponentes, pues tenían que rivalizar con los magníficos Templos Mayas, ACANCEH, TECOH, construidos sobre basamentos de pirámide; TEKIT asemeja un museo, por las imágenes en los nichos; MAMA con orgullo campanario y atrio cerrado; CHUMAYEL origen del Chilam Balam, libro sagrado de los mayas y ejemplo de arquitectura hispana del Medioevo; TEABO con escudo franciscano en el frente y pequeño altar barroco. ¡Arquitectura religiosa hispana, con genio y trabajo maya!

(Pasó todo lo mejor): Fungió como exclusiva escuela para educar hijos de caciques y principales indígenas. LA IGLESIA DE SAN MIGUEL con elegante fachada, flanqueada por campanarios, conserva bellos retablos, EL MAYOR, SAN ANTONIO, LA ASUNCIÓN, LA VIRGEN DE LA LUZ, del siglo XVII. Su CAPILLA ABIERTA, primera en Yucatán, tiene dimensiones semejantes al templo. En este lugar, Fray Diego de Landa, cegado por su celo evangelizador, manda a destruir y quemar valiosos códices mayas y estatuas; el mismo Fray Diego, aquí comienza a escribir el “Relato de las Cosas de Yucatán”, tratando de corregir su error. SAN FELIPE:

Pueblo pesquero distinguido por sus casas de madera pintorescas y sus restaurantes donde podrá degustar exquisitos maricos. Para llegar a la playa, rente una lanchita y disfrute de arena blanca y aguas claras, además cuenta con palapas para descansar y disfrutar de la costa yucateca. Mapa 3: G, 1

RÍO LAGARTOS:

Es uno de los puertos que han ganado mucha fama por las vecinas y hermosas Lagunas Rosadas, fértiles productoras de sal de mar, conocidas como SALINAS LAS COLORADAS por su distintivo color, que se debe a la alta concentración de sal y microorganismos en el mar. Los habitantes le pueden dar paseos en lanchas para conocer la flora y fauna de la costa yucateca en los manglares y la reserva donde observará a los flamencos y diversas especies de aves. También podrá darse un BAÑO MAYA con barro que se considera benéfico para la piel, al ser un exfoliante natural, suavizando su piel y es protector contra los insectos, por su alta concentración de minerales y sales,

SAN FELIPE:

LAGARTOS RIVER:
