PRESENTACIÓN PRESENTATION

El ANUARIO DE JOYERÍA CONTEMPORÁNEA llega a su tercera edición. Con ella se consolida esta comunidad internacional que colabora activamente en grupo para la promoción y la difusión de la joyería contemporánea en el mundo. Es un orgullo para todo el colectivo comprobar la activa recepción de sus propuestas anuales, así como de todos los eventos paralelos que se ponen en marcha a su alrededor, como son las exposiciones y muestras programadas en distintos salones joyeros del mundo o las presentaciones agrupadas en ferias. Grupo Duplex, motor de la iniciativa y editor del libro, agradece en especial a todos los participantes su creatividad y fidelidad en un proyecto destinado a que la joya se entienda y se viva como uno de los mejores vehículos de presentación artística.

The CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY YEARBOOK reaches its third edition. With it this international community group, actively involved in the promotion and dissemination of the contemporary jewellery in the world, is consolidated. It is a pride for the entire group to realize the active acceptance of their annual proposals, as well as all of the parallel events that we create around it, such as exhibitions and programmed shows in different jewellery shows over the world, grouped presentations in fairs. As prime mover and the editor of the book, we thank to all participants for their creativity and fidelity in a project where the jewel is understood and lived as one of the best vehicles of artistic presentation.

El Premio Internacional Arte y Joya perfila su personalidad más investigadora. Los candidatos son los artistas participantes en el Anuario de Joyería Contemporánea. El premio recibe el nombre de la revista decana del Grupo Duplex.

The International Arte y Joya Award outlines its researcher personality. Candidates to it are the artists participating in the Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook. The award takes its name from the dean magazine of Grupo Duplex.

La elección siempre es reñida porque las propuestas representan un verdadero laboratorio de creatividad, en la que queremos reconocer la importancia de la joyería contemporánea como punta de lanza en el desarrollo del sector.

The election is always hard-fought because the proposals represent a veritable laboratory of creativity, in which we recognize the importance of contemporary jewellery as spearhead sector development.

El acto de entrega se realiza en el marco de JOYA, Contemporary Jewellery Week, el contexto ideal para destacar los artistas que se abren camino en todo el mundo.

ALBERTO ZORZI Zorzi representa una propuesta plástica que nace de la práctica del diseño orfebre. Zorzi es escultor de joyas, da a la joya la libertad del mármol en la escultura. Realiza un proceso inverso al que estamos acostumbrados, realizando no tanto escultura en concepto de joyas, sino joyas en concepto de escultura. Profesor Enrico Crispolti, Universidad de Siena y Roma. Zorzi represents a plastic proposal that takes birth from the practice with the silversmith design. It can be said that Zorzi is a sculptor of jewels that brings to the jewel the liberty of marble in the sculpture. My work represents an environmental consciousness. Using reclaimed materials I push these materials to their limits sensing intuitively their points of extremity. La muestra reflejó el esfuerzo de las empresas para motivar al sector y sirvió de escaparate de tendencias para la colección otoño/invierno. Cabe destacar que el 8% de estos visitantes eran de origen internacional. Uno de los eventos realizados dentro de este salón fue la exposición “Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook 2012/2013”, que dio una visión única de más de un centenar de artistas provenientes de todo el mundo que se dedican al diseño, la experimentación, las emociones, el arte... en el terreno del ornamento corporal. JOYA - CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY WEEK El ANUARIO DE JOYERÍA CONTEMPORÁNEA 2012/2013 tuvo una activa presencia en la 4ª edición de JOYA en Barcelona en Octubre. Además de estar presente durante toda la celebración de la exposición con la nueva edición del libro, disfrutamos de un especial protagonismo organizando dos importantes eventos. Mesa redonda “Formación, ¿versus arte, versus industria?” Un diálogo abierto a tres frentes y que pretendió exponer las relaciones actuales entre el mundo docente, el artístico y el industrial en el sector de la joyería, los puntos de encuentro y diferencia, la necesidad o no de entendimiento, la existencia o no de colaboración, y las fórmulas para tender lazos y puentes de futuro. III Premio Internacional Arte y Joya En esta edición, el PREMIO INTERNACIONAL ARTE Y JOYA perfiló su personalidad más investigadora. Los candidatos fueron los artistas participantes en el ANUARIO DE JOYERÍA CONTEMPORÁNEA 2012/2013. La elección fue reñida porque las propuestas representaron un verdadero laboratorio de creatividad, en la que quisimos reconocer la importancia de la joyería contemporánea como punta de lanza en el desarrollo del sector. Los miembros del jurado fueron nueve personas estrechamente relacionadas con el mundo del diseño: Anthony Chevallier, Carmen Lizarriturri, Cristina Mariño, Giò Carbone, Iván Moreno, Joan Oliveras, Manuel Carrera, Michele Bortoluzzi, y Paulo Ribeiro.

The CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY YEARBOOK 2012/2013 has had an active presence in the 4th edition of JOYA held in Barcelona in October. Besides being present during the celebration of the exhibition with the new edition of the book, we enjoyed a special role organizing two important events. Round Table: “Training: Versus Art, Versus Industry?” This was an open dialogue on three fronts which aimed to set forth the current relationships between the worlds of education, art and industry in the jewellery sector, along with the points of convergence and divergence, the need or lack of need for understanding, the existence or nonexistence of collaboration and the formulas for building ties and bridges in the future. III International ARTE Y JOYA Award In this edition, the INTERNATIONAL ARTE Y JOYA AWARD outlined its researcher personality. Candidates to it were the artists participating in the CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY YEARBOOK 2012/2013. The election was hard-fought because the proposals represented a veritable laboratory of creativity, in which we recognized the importance of contemporary jewellery as spearhead sector development. The members of the jury were nine people tightly related with the design world: Anthony Chevallier, Carmen Lizarriturri, Cristina Mariño, Giò Carbone, Iván Moreno, Joan Oliveras, Manuel Carrera, Michele Bortoluzzi and Paulo Ribeiro.

GALERÍA-JOYERÍA GINES Después de celebrar la exposición de “Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook 2012/2013” en diferentes ferias profesionales, se presentó por primera vez en una joyería de cara al público consumidor en Zaragoza, donde se pudieron contemplar alrededor de 80 piezas, desde el día 8 hasta el día 26 de noviembre en la Joyería Ginés de la capital aragonesa. El día 22 se celebró un cóctel para los medios de comunicación y a los clientes más selectos de la Joyería Ginés. Esta exhibición constituye un verdadero acontecimiento en el mundo de la joyería contemporánea, diseñadores de todo el mundo han expuesto sus creaciones, haciendo de la muestra un espejo de las tendencias de la joyería más extrema y actual convirtiéndose en una lanzadera de nuevos valores. Y por primera vez los visitantes de la “Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook 2012/2013” tenían la opción de comprar las piezas expuestas. INHORGENTA El Anuario de Joyería Contemporánea se ha definido siempre como un proyecto abierto a todo tipo de iniciativas que ayuden en la promoción de la joyería contemporánea y sus creadores. En esa línea el Anuario emprende una nueva actividad con su presencia con un stand propio (Hall C2, Stand 515, Gang E) en última edición de la feria Inhorgenta, del 22 al 25 de febrero. Hemos tenido la oportunidad de presentar en directo nuestro libro en una de las plataformas comerciales más interesantes del mundo en cuanto a joyería contemporánea se refiere, dado que el pabellón C2 de Inhorgenta Munich es un referente de la expresión más creativa del sector. The CONTEMPORARY JEWELLERY YEARBOOK has been always defined as a project open to all kind of initiatives aimed at promoting the contemporary jewellery and its creators. Along this line, the Contemporary Jewellery Yearbook started a new activity exhibiting for the first time with its own booth (Hall C2, Stand 515, Gang E) at the last edition of Inhorgenta fair in Munich from the 22nd to 25th of February 2013. We had the opportunity to personally introduce our book in one of the most interesting commercial places over the world about contemporary jewellery refers, since the Inhorgenta Hall C2 is a referent of the most creative jewellery.

Mientras esté viajando a los distintos continentes, sus participantes volverán a inspirarse, estudiar y crear las formas más innovadoras de expresión que se pueden dar en la joyería. No hay fronteras ni límites para el lenguaje creativo, como no hay fronteras ni límites para la joya gracias a un colectivo comprometido e ilusionado en seguir creciendo. ¡Nos volvemos a reencontrar en 2014!

When this book be released, we will be repeating a new invitation to the reencounter. While the Yearbook will be traveling to different continents, their participants will again be inspired and they will be studying and creating the most innovative forms of expression that can be created in jewellery. There are no boundaries or limits for creative language, as there are no boundaries or limits to the jewel thanks to a committed collective excited to continue growing. We will meet again in 2014!
