The Spring 2013 is all about fabrics... gorgeous Venice laces, lush satin, flowing chiffon and soft tulle. The inspiration behind the collection was old Hollywood glamour with a modern twist. Elegance, luxury and affordability is always our goal! ABOUT DESIGNER In her late 20s, Liz Fields has spent most of her life around the New York Garment Center and it’s special occasion manufacturers. Although much has changed in the industry, her passion for creating gorgeous wedding dresses and bridesmaids gowns grows every day. “It is such an amazing time in my life to be creating,” Liz states, “ I am at that age where all of my friends have either just gotten married or are planning their big day. This is a great insight into what women are looking

for and an honor to be able to fulfill their dreams and watch my gown walk the aisle.” Liz attended The George Washington University before working as an Asst. Costume Designer alongside award-winning costume designers Merit Allen and Michael O’Conner. She then traveled around the world before moving to Los Angeles and pursuing a degree in Fashion Design at FIDM.

ur wedding at BlueBay was an extraordinary experience. We contacted the wedding coordinator of the Hotel ten months before the wedding, as we wanted to plan everything ahead of time, because planning a destination wedding from so far away is kind of hard, or at least thatâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s what we thought. The planning months were actually more relaxed than we thought, as the wedding planner

gave us absolutely all the information we needed, like flowers, decoration, music, photography etc. Everything was very clear and very helpful, besides, there were a lot of things that we never thought of, so it was nice to see all the options the Hotel had for us. In addition, if we had an idea of how we wanted the centerpieces or other decorations, we just needed to send a picture and our wedding coordinator helped us to get the quote of what we wanted.

One thing we really appreciated was the quick replies we received back from all of the emails that we sent. I must confess that I, as the bride, was very anxious about the details, because I wanted everything to be perfect, just like I had imagined my special day would be, so I had a ton of questions that needed to be answered, and the fact that the replies were quick made me feel that I was working with professionals. Maybe I was a little bit annoying, but my wedding planner always answered all of my questions, and took away my concerns. The wedding date was getting closer and we were very excited because two months before we had decided on everything, the location (on the beach), the menu, decoration, music, flowers, etc. We even organized a gathering with all the guests the day before the wedding. Believe me when I tell you that everything ran smoothly through the months of planning and we ended up having everything ready for the wedding before I expected, so we could just relax the months before the wedding. mexicodestinationwed.com

We arrived at the Hotel four days before the wedding because we wanted to go over all of the details with our wedding planner so we were sure that everything was as it was supposed to be. We went through every little thing we discussed before and some more and I was completely stress-free as I could see everything was where it was supposed to be. However, the next day after we arrived something changed so the stress appeared thanks to the weather. It rained the following two days, all day long, even though June is not a rainy month. I was so stressed because the wedding day was getting closer and the last thing we wanted was rain on our day! We checked the forecast everyday along with our coordinator, and apparently the weather was not going to change. Still we really wanted the event on the beach, and my hero was definitely my wedding coordinator. She acted quickly and contacted a tarp

supplier, who offered us a very good deal even when we asked for it just two days before the wedding. We did not hesitate in hiring it, so this really helped alleviate the stress. The day before the wedding, we were also supposed to have our gathering by the pool area. It was a grill buffet so all the guests could meet and break the ice between the families, but again the weather was not on our side. It kept on raining! So we had to change the location, but even so, everything was great, as the event was in one of the restaurants close to the beach. The rain actually stopped a little bit for the time of the gathering, and we had the opportunity to have half of the party inside the restaurant and the other half outside. Even when we made some last minute changes, the wedding coordinator and the staff were really helpful and all our requests were met. The gathering ended up being a success, which made us really happy.

Finally, the wedding day arrived. We were so nervous about the weather I think we even couldn’t sleep thinking about it, but, like a miracle, the sun came out and the day was perfect! We waited until noon to see if it would rain, because as you know the weather in the Caribbean is really unpredictable, but as the day went on, it was getting better. I went to the SPA for my hairdo and makeup, where the stylist was great, and she understood perfectly how I wanted to look. After that, my bridesmaids and I went to my gorgeous suite so we could get ready. The time of the ceremony arrived, so a bellboy went to my room to pick us up. We got to the ceremony location and I was amazed, it looked great. From the moment I walked down to the aisle all went smoothly, stress-free and perfect! The minister made a beautiful ceremony speech; we had amazing photos on the beach, with our family and just us. After the ceremony there were cocktails for our guests, with hors d’oeuvres, and they were delicious. For the reception all was as I imagined. The tables, lights, centerpieces, the menu, music, etc. were just astonishing. We have no words to describe it, we just can say that our wedding was more than we ever expected!
