The team would like to thank Professor Andrew Scherer, of the Department of Urban Planning at Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, for the opportunity he provided us to collaborate on this project, as well as his guidance and instruction throughout the last four months. The team would like to thank Professor Erica Avrami, of the Department of Historic Preservation, also in Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation who acted as faculty advisor and tremendous resource on heritage conservation.
The team would also like to thank Zaw Lin Myat, a fellow student at Columbia’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation, and the studio’s teaching assistant. From contributing hard–to-find data, thoughtful and comprehensive feedback, an incredibly positive attitude, and the planning and hospitality he offered to us while in Yangon, he has truly been invaluable to this project.
