1 Lighting for the new Tower Hamlets Civic Centre (Whitechapel, London) 2018 Client: Borough of Tower Hamlets Lighting Consultant: Atelier Ten Architect: AHMM
2 The London Royal Hospital site in Whitechapel, is being brought back into community use as a new civic centre. The Tower Hamlets Civic Centre plans have changed to meet the needs of residents to have an accessible building, where they can receive a broad range of administrative services. The meeting rooms and shared spaces will bring people together, residents will be able to access services in one place and there will be space dedicated to training. The lighting is designed to emphasize the public benefits, providing comfortable accessible spaces both indoors and outdoors. Energy efficient lighting solutions are achieved via intelligent lighting controls and energy saving fixtures.
