Celebrating Our Volunteers
Our volunteers wear so many hats. You are a cheerleader, guide, and mentor that allow girls to develop essential life skills and confidence that will last a lifetime. Because of you—our girls can make memories and change in the world around them. With so many new awards, consider nominating fellow volunteers for volunteer awards!
Showing love and appreciation for volunteers is a long-standing Girl Scout tradition. After all, our volunteers are ah-mazing! Our volunteers are all about the girls—and we love you for it! Let's be honest, Girl Scouting wouldn’t be the same without you. We have three categories for Volunteer Awards— GSUSA Awards, GSMH Awards, and Service Unit Awards.
New this year, GSMH Awards allow us to celebrate you even more! The GSMH Awards are nominated by staff or service unit volunteers, approved by GSMH leadership, and presented at the GSMH Volunteer Recognition Ceremony. All nominations are due by February 1.

Lasting Legacy Award

Volunteer Appreciation Week is a national movement to show love for all the volunteers across the country that make so many organizations what they are! Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland encourages girls and volunteers to celebrate and thank all the change-making volunteers they know. During this entire week in April, we honor all the volunteers who volunteer as leaders and mentors in partnership with girls.
