Red Cross Updates and Trainings at GSMH
The American Red Cross is a proud partner with GSUSA and GSMH. One of the benefits of this partnership is that GSMH can offer quality, life-saving training to our membership at a reduced rate. First Aid and CPR Training is strongly recommended for at least one adult volunteer in every troop. The Safety Activity Checkpoints for certain Girl Scout activities require that an adult be certified in First Aid and CPR and act as primary first aid provider. There are a couple of ways you can get training—including an updated gsLearn course! Check out how to get certified below: • In-person First Aid and CPR trainings. Check out the activities page of the GSMH website to see if there are trainings already scheduled in your area. • The blended learning option on gsLearn. You can now access the online portion of the Red
Cross training on the course in gsLearn. Once you complete the online portion, we can work to schedule the in-person skills session in your area. • Requesting a training. Visit the Volunteer Resources > Volunteer Training page of the website and fill out the Volunteer Training and Support Request Form and we will be in touch to schedule your training.
