E P EX In Martha’s work as a prosecutor for the Ogeechee Circuit, she worked closely with law enforcement to protect our children and neighbors from violent criminals. She has secured emergency protective orders for children who have been placed in danger by a parent or guardian. Martha has been a voice for victims of abuse, providing protection from the abuser. She has provided an avenue of change for the families who have experienced the damaging cycle of abuse.

In Superior Court, a vast majority of the caseload involves divorce, child custody and child support. Martha is the only candidate with experience, training and a focus, as an attorney in private practice, in the areas of law that directly affect our families every day. Unfortunately, divorce is a reality in our community. We need a judge who does not need on the job training, especially when children are involved.
S R TE Protecting children and families are the most important factors to consider in voting for a Superior Court judge. Therefore, the goal of a fair and just judge must be to fairly apply the law to the facts of each domestic case, but with the ultimate goal being the protection of the children involved. As Superior Court Judge, Martha will use her diverse experience to protect our children, our families, and our neighbors. A judge must truly know one’s story in order to be fair and right in her decision. One must be able to listen to both sides, without a preset agenda or opinion, in order to best serve our community.
