MSE has a head count of 38 faculty (33.6 FTE). An additional 17 faculty have courtesy/ adjunct appointments. We have a research portfolio focusing on all forms of materials including metals, ceramics, polymers, fibers, textiles, composites, and nano and biomaterials addressing societal challenges such as energy, environment, health and human welfare, security, transportation, and infrastructure.
