DAY 1 UK - WINDHOEK

Today you will fly overnight to Windhoek, arriving on Day 2.

DAY 2 WINDHOEK

Windhoek is a surprisingly modern, cosmopolitan city where German-style buildings tell stories of Namibia’s early colonial history. This evening, we’ll get to know each other better over dinner. (D)

SAFARI COURT HOTEL, WINDHOEK

DAY 3 WINDHOEK - SOSSUSVLEI

Today, we take the snaking roads through mountains and via the town of Rehoboth, home to Namibia’s Baster community, before heading for one of Namibia’s top tourist attractions, Sossusvlei with its red dunes, and our lodge for the next two nights. Dinner is served under the Namibian sky. (B,D)

SOSSUSVLEI LODGE, SOSSUSVLEI

DAY 4 SOSSUSVLEI

An early rise this morning for an exciting day exploring Sossusvlei. Considered some of the tallest dunes in the world, these monumentally high, starshaped dunes are a sought-after destination. The hues constantly change with the sun rising from deep apricot to warm red and all shades in between. You will have the opportunity to climb these awesome dunes and explore the Deadvlei before we continue towards Sesriem Canyon and return to the lodge for an afternoon of relaxation. (B,D)

SOSSUSVLEI LODGE, SOSSUSVLEI

DAY 5 SOSSUSVLEI - SWAKOPMUND

The coastal area of Namibia awaits our discovery today. A journey that takes us via the Kuiseb Pass and onto the Walvis Bay Lagoon, a site famous for the thousands of flamingos that live there. We then make our way to our coastal hotel via a beautiful stretch of road that has the cold Atlantic on the left of us, and the towering dunes on our right. Dinner in Swakopmund this evening will be at the converted oil-fired Danie Hugo tug boat restaurant, aptly named The Tug. (B,D)

DAY 6 SWAKOPMUND - DAY AT LEISURE

Today is free for you to spend relaxing. Alternatively, why not join our optional dolphin and seal catamaran cruise from the nearby town of Walvis Bay – sure to be a truly memorable experience. Or, choose to join the optional Living Desert tour, a unique 4x4 adventure drive through the nearby dunes to introduce you to the flora and fauna that survives in this inhospitable landscape. (B)

STRAND HOTEL, SWAKOPMUND

DAY 7 DAMARALAND

Heading north along the coast today via Henties Bay, a popular locals holiday resort, before moving inland towards Damaraland, home to the desert adapted rhino and elephant and without doubt one of Namibia’s most scenic areas. This evening we’ll gather for a meal at our hotel (B,D)

TWYFELFONTEIN COUNTRY LODGE, DAMARALAND

DAY 8 DAMARALAND

Today we call at one of the largest collections of rock paintings and engraving in Africa. We will take in the wonder of Burnt Mountain, and then marvel at the Organ Pipes of basalt slabs in the area. In the afternoon we will visit the Damara Living Museum, where you’ll learn about some of Namibia’s oldest inhabitants. (B,D)

TWYFELFONTEIN COUNTRY LODGE, DAMARALAND

DAY 9 DAMARALAND - ETOSHA REGION

This morning we visit the Petrified Forest and view the remains of tree trunks, estimated to be about 200 million years old. Our route then continues to south of the Etosha National Park. There will be an opportunity to visit a village of the Himba Tribe before enjoying the sunset from the deck of our lodge this evening.

ETOSHA SAFARI LODGE, ETOSHA

DAY 10 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

This morning we’ll head to the eastern border of the Etosha National Park in our touring vehicle, where our next lodge is situated. On the way, there will be even more opportunities to watch the animals as they gather around the waterholes and roam freely around the park – incredible sights that you’ll surely never forget. Once we have arrived, the rest of the day is free for you to relax. Enjoy dinner at the lodge this evening. (B,D)

MOKUTI ETOSHA LODGE, ETOSHA

DAY 11 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK

Today we’ll board our 4x4 safari vehicles once more for a full-day game drive in the park. The park is home to hundreds of species of mammals, birds and reptiles, including several threatened and endangered species such as the black rhinoceros. We’ll return to the lodge for dinner together this evening (B,D)

MOKUTI ETOSHA LODGE, ETOSHA

DAY 12 ETOSHA NATIONAL PARK - WINDHOEK

Today we make our way towards Windhoek, stopping at Okahandja, home of the Herero people of Namibia. Our final hotel is an old country estate outside of the city where we will enjoy a farewell dinner. Enjoy delicious, authentic food and heartfelt hospitality as you share stories of your adventures, all with an ice-cold Namibian beer in hand. (B,D)

DAY 13 WINDHOEK - UK

Today we’ll transfer you to the airport for your return flight to the UK. (B)
