En plus de la coloration, les bétons requièrent bien souvent une protection longue durée contre les principales causes de dégradation. Les lasures ProtectGuard® Color sont des lasures d'imprégnation deux en un qui assurent également une protection hydrofuge, oléofuge et même anti-graffitis. Les ouvrages traités deviennent imperméables et repoussent l’eau. Les lasures ProtectGuard® Color limitent ainsi les effets néfastes dus à l’humidité (érosion, apparition d’efflorescence ou de salpêtre, micro-organismes, cycles gel dégel…). Elles empêchent également la pénétration des taches grasses et retardent le réencrassement. Lasting protection
As well as colour, concrete very often requires long-term protection against the main causes of deterioration. ProtectGuard® Color stains are two-in-one penetrating stains that also protect
from water, oil and even graffiti. Treated structures become impermeable and repel water. ProtectGuard® Color stains thus limit the harmful effects of moisture (erosion, efflorescence or surface salts, micro-organisms, freeze-thaw cycles etc.) They also stop greasy stains penetrating and retard the return of grime. Treated structures become more resistant to atmospheric pollution and are easier to maintain.

Le nuancier ProtectGuard® Color comprend 42 coloris standards et 8 coloris “spéciaux” (noir nacré, blanc nacré, doré, argent, aluminium, bronze, red terracotta et irisé). Selon les besoins spécifiques du client ou du chantier, Guard Industrie réalise des coloris sur mesure. Les lasures ProtectGuard® Color sont disponibles en finitions mates, brillantes ou satinées.
Un béton tout en transparence Sans changer la minéralité du béton, ProtectGuard® Color apporte un plus dans la création. Without changing concrete’s inorganic character, ProtectGuard® Color adds to the creativity.
Les lasures ProtectGuard® Color sont semitransparentes. À la différence d’une peinture, elles ne dissimulent pas le béton mais le subliment en laissant transparaître sa peau et sa minéralité si caractéristique. Ainsi, la couleur finale d’un béton traité est le résultat de la superposition de la couleur de la lasure sur celle du béton. En fonction de l’utilisation (embellissement ou correction colorimétrique) et du rendu souhaité il est donc possible de jouer sur l’opacité. Les lasures ProtectGuard® Color peuvent être déclinées en différentes opacités. Un coloris standard possède une opacité indice 100%. Guard Industrie peut nuancer ces couleurs et offrir un degré d’opacité plus ou moins élevé, tout en conservant les mêmes performances. Une couleur avec un indice d’opacité faible sera moins couvrante. Dans ce cas, la couleur initiale du support aura une plus grande interaction sur la couleur finale.

Custom colors and finishes
See through to the concrete ProtectGuard® Color stains are semi-transparent. Unlike a paint, they do not hide the concrete but enhance it by allowing its surface and its stone-like characteristics to be seen. This means that the final colour of a treated concrete is the result of the stain colour on top of the colour of the concrete. Depending on the use (embellishment or colorimetric correction) and the desired finish, it is therefore possible to modify the opacity.
ProtectGuard® Color uniformise et corrige l’aspect esthétique des surfaces. ProtectGuard® Color is used to correct and standardize the appearance of surfaces.
ProtectGuard® Color stains can be modified to give different opacities. A standard colour possesses an opacity index of 100%. Guard Industrie is able to adjust these colours and offer a greater or lesser degree of opacity without altering the performance. A colour with an low opacity index will have less covering power, in which case the initial colour of the substrate will have a greater interaction with the final colour.

En 2010, le LaM (Lille Métropole Musée d’art moderne, d’art contemporain et d’art brut) rouvrait ses portes laissant découvrir son nouveau visage : un bâtiment audacieux enveloppé d’une résille de béton fibré ultra-haute performance. Pour protéger et décorer les 2 600 m² de voiles béton, l’architecte a choisi ProtectGuard® Color et a misé sur une finition blanc irisée (Pearlescent White) pour offrir au béton des reflets changeants. Ainsi, au gré de la lumière et en fonction de l'angle de vue, la façade du bâtiment joue avec l’œil du visiteur en offrant des reflets tantôt pourpres, tantôt verts. LaM – Lille métropole, Musée d’art moderne et d’art brut, Villeneuve d’Ascq Architecte : Manuelle Gautrand • ProtectGuard® Color, Pearlescent White Applicateur : ALTROTECH In 2010 the LaM (Lille Métropole Museum of Modern Art, Contemporary Art and Outsider Art) opened its doors again to reveal its new face: a bold building wrapped in a hairnet of ultra-high performance fibre-reinforced concrete. To protect and decorate the 2,600 m2 of concrete cast walls the architect opted for ProtectGuard® Color, choosing a Pearlescent White finish to give the concrete iridescent reflections that shift with the light. Thus, depending on the play of the light and the angle of view, the walls of the building throw back the light in subtly varying hues, sometimes purple, sometimes green, towards the visitor’s eyes. Un bâtiment en picots pour la RATP
À la demande de la RATP, l’agence ECDM a conçu un nouveau centre pour les chauffeurs de bus et l’équipe administrative. Situé à Thiais, ce bâtiment imposant et monolithique est entièrement recouvert de Ductal® matricé en picots. Pour homogénéiser la teinte des 2 450 m² de panneaux, ECDM a choisi ProtectGuard® Color Bi-composant - Anthracite. Bâtiment administratif du Centre bus RATP, Thiais Architectes : ECDM (E. Combarel, D. Marrec) • ProtectGuard® Color Bi-composant, Anthracite Applicateur : SOCATEB ECDM agency was asked by the RATP, the body that runs public transport for the Paris region, to design a new centre for bus drivers and the office team. Located in Thiais, this imposing monolithic building is completely covered in studded Ductal®. To equalise the colour across the 2,450 m2 of panels, ECDM chose ProtectGuard® Color Two Component - Anthracite. Écorce brune dans le quartier d’affaires Seine Ouest Brown bark in the West Seine business district
Imaginé par Christian de Portzamparc, l'immeuble Dueo est situé dans le nouveau quartier d’affaires Seine Ouest et marque l’entrée de la ville d’Issyles-Moulineaux depuis Paris. Tout en courbes, il est recouvert d'une double peau brune en composite ciment verre (CCV) aux motifs aléatoires qui contrastent avec les immeubles voisins. À la sortie de l’usine, ces panneaux teintés dans la masse présentaient des différences de teinte flagrantes. Pour homogénéiser les 3 000 m² de panneaux CCV et leur apporter une couleur plus intense, l’architecte a choisi ProtectGuard® Color - Walnut. Immeuble Dueo, Issy-les-Moulineaux. Architecte : Christian de Portzamparc • ProtectGuard® Color, Walnut opacité 100% Applicateur : ALTROTECH Designed by Christian de Portzamparc, the Dueo building is located in the new Seine West business district and marks the entry to the town of Issy-les-Moulineaux from Paris. The curvilinear building is covered with a brown double skin of glassfibre-reinforced concrete with random motifs that contrast with the surrounding buildings. When the coloured-in-the-mass panels left the factory there were glaring colour discrepancies between them. Effet peau de bébé pour une crèche parisienne Baby-skin effect for a Paris nursery Située dans le 18e arrondissement de Paris, la crèche Budin étonne par sa façade qui ondule et joue avec la lumière. Conçu par l’agence ECDM, le bâtiment est composé de 68 panneaux préfabriqués de Ductal® blanc titane. Pour teinter et protéger l’ouvrage, l’architecte a choisi d’utiliser ProtectGuard® Color Bi-composant - Basic White en opacité de 100% pour un rendu d’un blanc immaculé. Pour la finition, le choix s’est porté sur une finition brillante afin d’augmenter l’effet “glossy“ recherché et obtenir une façade aussi lisse qu’une peau de bébé pour capter un maximum de luminosité. Finition ballon de basket pour l'immeuble VEO d’Euronantes A basketball finish for the Euronantes VEO building
Situé au cœur du nouveau quartier Euronantes, le complexe VEO est doté d’une architecture très originale qui prend la forme de deux tours de bureaux reliées en rez-de-chaussée par un gymnase dont la façade martelée évoque l’épiderme d’un ballon de basket. Appelé en finition de cet audacieux projet, Guard Industrie a réalisé une teinte orange sur mesure qui imite parfaitement la couleur d’un ballon de basket et donne une grande tonicité à l’ensemble du bâtiment. Pour contraster avec le “ballon de basket”, les façades des tours ont été traitées avec ProtectGuard® Color Bi-composant - Anthracite (finition brillante, opacité 100%). Initialement conçu pour le commerce, le port de Tianjin a inauguré en 2010 un nouveau terminal exclusivement dédié aux croisières et au transport des personnes. Conçu par le cabinet China Construction Design International, ce terminal d’une superficie de 43 000 m² est entièrement recouvert de panneaux en CCV (composite ciment verre) symbolisant des voiles blanches gonflées par la brise. À la sortie de l'usine, ces panneaux préfabriqués présentaient des défauts de teinte qui ont été uniformisés grâce à l'application de ProtectGuard® Color - Basic White. 10 ans après sa réalisation par l’agence Labfac, le bois revêtant le Théâtre de Cornouaille de Quimper avait vieilli de manière inégale. La réhabilitation à l’identique de la façade était au centre des préoccupations. Il s’agissait de retrouver une teinte qui s’approche le plus possible de la teinte initiale pour ces 2465 m2 d’habillage bois. Après un nettoyage complet du bois, Guard Industrie a formulé WoodGuard® Color, teinte sur mesure Ipé grade 140 pour reproduire fidèlement la teinte d’origine. Cet imposant bâtiment, l’architecte l’a voulu en béton blanc, comme un clin d’œil à l’architecture moderne brésilienne, très friande de ce matériau. Une fois le projet terminé, l’architecte a souhaité protéger le béton des agressions extérieures afin d’assurer la pérennité de son aspect. Une protection éternelle Eternal protection
Véritable symbole de la Place Saint Pierre de Rome, la colonnade du Bernin a fait l'objet d'une campagne de restauration entre 2009 et 2014. Après plusieurs années d'un nettoyage minutieux, le Vatican cherchait à pérenniser ce travail en protégeant les colonnes des salissures et des graffitis récurrents. Pour ce projet, le laboratoire du Vatican chargé de la restauration des monuments a sélectionné et retenu la technologie ProtectGuard® comme étant la plus efficace et la plus durable. Le parc Olympique de Pékin, fameux «nid d’oiseau» érigé pour les jeux Olympiques, accueille chaque année 45 millions de visiteurs. Au sol, pas moins de 210 000 m² de granit sont ainsi soumis à un trafic intense et à des salissures en tous genres (graisses, chewing-gum…). La municipalité de Pékin, consciente de ces problèmes décide en 2013 de protéger les sols. Pour ce faire, Guard Industrie élabore une formule sur mesure de ProtectGuard® FT Pro, avec ajouts d’additifs pour une résistance accrue l'abrasion et aux chewing-gums, et une protection optimale du granit. Parc Olympique, Pékin • ProtectGuard® FT Pro Applicateur : GUARD BAO TE JIA The Beijing Olympic Park, the famous “Bird’s nest” erected for the Olympic Games, receives 45 million visitors every year. On the ground no less than 210,000 m² of granite are subjected to intense traffic and soiling of all kinds (grease, chewing gum etc). Conscious of these problems, Beijing municipality decided in 2013 to protect the paved surfaces. For this purpose Guard Industrie produced a bespoke formula of ProtectGuard® HD with additives for increased resistance to abrasion and chewing gum, and optimal protection of the granite. Une mise en œuvre facile et rapide en 3 étapes : 1 couleur + 2 protection + 3 finition Étape 1 : une lasure colorée d’imprégnation.
Béton Ciré Guard® Color est un produit de décoration semi-transparent qui colore les sols sans les opacifier et en respectant parfaitement leur minéralité. Il s’imprègne de manière homogène dans le support sans ajouter de matière en surface (sauf en cas d’application d’un ragréage). Sa composition originale à base d’acrylique et de silicate permet une très bonne imprégnation et fixation
des couleurs. Proposé dans une large gamme de coloris, Béton Ciré Guard® Color permet de donner une dimension esthétique aux sols et offre la possibilité de “jouer” avec des teintes originales et une finition métallisée, ainsi que des effets patinés, nuancés, moirés, etc. ou des rendus plus homogènes.
Étape 2 : une protection durable des sols contre l’eau, les taches et les salissures. Béton Ciré Guard® Protect protège les sols intérieurs traités par Béton Ciré Guard® Color contre la pénétration de l’eau, des taches grasses et des salissures de la vie quotidienne (vin, huile, café…). Le traitement retarde ainsi le ré encrassement du support et facilite grandement son entretien.
Béton Ciré Guard® Protect est un produit d’imprégnation, le support reste perméable à l’air et à la vapeur d’eau. Il donne au support traité un effet ciré brillant qui rehausse la couleur d’origine. De plus il résiste parfaitement aux UV et ne jaunit pas dans le temps.
Étape 3 : une cire de finition et d’entretien.
Béton Ciré Guard® Finish est une cire de finition destinée aux sols traités avec le système Béton Ciré Guard®. Béton Ciré Guard® Finish est une émulsion acrylique contenant des ions métalliques assurant une couche d’usure à haute résistance. Par la suite, cette cire peut être diluée dans

l’eau pour l’entretien régulier. Elle permet ainsi de régénérer l’aspect neuf et brillant du béton ciré, de conserver son état propre beaucoup plus longtemps et de combler les micros rayures.

Decorative Concrete Guard® Color is a decorative semitransparent product which colours floors without hiding the surface and fully respects their mineral look and feel. It penetrates evenly into the substrate without adding any surface film (unless a self-levelling compound has been applied). Its innovative acrylic and silicate-based
composition allows excellent impregnation and colour fixing. Available in a wide range of colours, Decorative Concrete Guard® Color gives floors an aesthetic dimension. It offers the possibility of making fine adjustments to the original shade and giving a metallic finish, a patina, tints, glints etc. or more uniform finishes.
Step 2: long-term protection for floors against water, staining and dirt. Decorative Concrete Guard® Protect protects indoor floors treated with Decorative Concrete Guard® Color against water penetration and the greasy stains and soiling of modern living (wine, oil, coffee etc.). The treatment thus makes it harder for grime to build up again and makes the surface much easier to maintain.
Decorative Concrete Guard® Protect is a penetrating product and the substrate remains permeable to air and water vapour. It gives the treated substrate a glossy waxed effect which enhances the original colour. It is also fully UV resistant and does not yellow with time.
Step 3: a finishing and maintaining wax. Decorative Concrete Guard® Finish is a finish wax intended for floors treated with the Decorative Concrete Guard® system. Decorative Concrete Guard® Finish is an acrylic emulsion containing metal ions that form a tough wear-
resistant layer. Thereafter, this wax can be diluted in water for regular maintenance. The wax thus makes it possible to return the waxed concrete to an as-new shine, keep it clean for much longer, and fill in minute scratches.

Ces anciennes écuries situées dans la banlieue de Bruxelles constituent un parfait exemple de réhabilitation en loft. Pour accentuer le côté moderne et industriel, l’architecte souhaitait traiter le sol en béton brut avec une finition béton ciré.
