Making a long road trip with children by: C.S. Mackay This is the year that you are going to take a thousand mile road trip. It would be fun and enjoyable with just your spouse, but now your family includes others. Those others include a preteen ten year old that is already developing a teen attitude. Also included is an over energetic eight-year-old son that thinks his purpose in life is to tease both of his sisters. Last of all there is that sweet four-year-old ball of fire that has determined that she is in charge. On the top of your list of challenges is the item to make this trip and be sane when you return home. Everything will be fine getting things ready and even after you arrive at your destination. It is those hours in between that have you worried. Back when you were a little kid your parents had to grin and bear it. They played games to keep D O W N TO W N

This will not happen to you if you are willing to take advantage of the new car video technology. With the introduction of car videos children can enjoy the trip with some of their favorite videos. There are several types available on the market now. There are the standard mount to the ceiling models. Now there are hang over the seat models with ear phones so that each child can have their own if necessary and these are moveable from seat to seat. Also, available are head rests with video screens built in them that can replace your present head rests. Now there

How to buy discounted flight tickets by: George Alarcon Everyone who travels wants to save as much as possible when flying. Why would you want to pay the regular going cost when you can get flight tickets cheaper? I have provided a few clever ways of saving yourself a ton of money on your next air trip. 1) Book online instead of offline; you’ll save money from the paper processing fee. 2) Clear out your cookies. Why? Many travel websites use the cookies to log when you search for a particular route and will quote you higher when you return to that site to
search again. 3) Many airline websites update their airfare shortly after midnight. A little research about the route you are looking will help you get the best airfares before they are sold. 4) Stay less than 30 days. Most airfare tariffs have a month’s limitation stay restriction. If you require more time, you will pay a higher priced ticket. 5) If you are traveling with a child under 2 year of age, your child is qualified to travel for free. Buying a separate seat for your child is really expensive. 6) Be ready and open to have
The Hub City of South Texas Alice was established in 1888 and named after the daughter of Captain Richard King, who established the King Ranch. Historically the community is associated with cattle, the vaquero and the American cowboy. Several museums share historical artifacts about Alice and South Texas. different departure and return dates. Mark “anytime” in the search window. 7) Buy flight tickets during the off-season periods; flight tickets are usually cheaper. 8) Buy flight tickets in advance; you can save a lot. 9) Buy from an air courier service; these are companies that will buy your luggage space in exchange for lower-priced tickets. 10) If you fly a lot, join a frequent flyer program; such a program offers long-term discounts.
Enjoy the excitement of the times – be it 1859 or today! Listen for the train whistle, hear the sound of an old oil lease barker or enjoy the sights and sounds of a nickelodeon or band organ while you travel through “the valley that changed the world.” Learn about the history of the oil industry at Drake Well Museum in Titusville or Venango Museum of Art, Science & Industry in Oil City; ride the vintage Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad; mail a post card from the only operating Railway Post Office in the US.
Recreational opportunities include over 60 miles of asphalt-paved trails, perfect for hiking, biking or walking. The Allegheny River is the perfect place for canoeing, kayaking or fishing.
