READY MADE GARDEN FURNITURE Product Bolzano / Bergamo / Mialano 2010
For her wedding my sister asked me to design some flower’s pots for her garden. I had super low budget and limited time. After taking a look at the very bourgeois context in which she was living I decided to design something which would differ from the “fake barock” neighbors gardens. These tree pieces of outdoor furniture are made with found materials and treated with natural waterproof color.
In November 2010 the pices have been part of the exhibition FATTI PER COLTIVARE at Valcucine in Milano.

Semester Project Bolzano 2008
For this project we were asked to research about the theme “Ozio a word used to describe the leisure time in which people can relax and enjoy a moment where no working activities must be done. For the project I wished to create not only a object which could help enjoying the Ozio time but a hole environment where this could be possible. During my traveling in Morocco I saw how local people love to relax while drinking tea, they do it everywhere all the time. Inspired by this gesture I had the intuition to transform a carpet into a relaxing corner. With a quite simple intervention I made it possible for this object, normally used only on the floor, to have a second function and life. The Carpet-table can be build and unbuild in a few seconds changing its shape and function as desired from the user.
The simple move that allows the carpet to become a tea table.
INSTANT Product Bolzano / Milano 2011
Today talking about rapid prototyping is a step back in time. The last innovation in numeric control technologies is the DDM (Digital Direct Manufacturing). This technology make it possible to jump from an idea to the 3D visualization an d commercialization of an object skipping the long prototyping process. Today small objects’s production can be instant. The DDM technology is normally used to realize components in the most different fields. From industrial complex components, to dentist small tool, to parts of high speed cars. The installation presented for the Instant Design Exhibition is a site specific one and wants to show how this technology can be used for the production of small object for daily use. We organized the space as Cartesian Plan where on X axis we show the timeline of the construction proses and on the
Y axis we show the possibility of having a potentially infinite series production. With this project we wanted to communicate the idea that today, thanks to DDM technology, the designer can design visualize and produce objects directly from his studio.

Furniture and fixings in birch ply, beech & glass. Graphic design by Ben Weaver with Xavier Antin. I took part on the realiza tion of this exhibition during my internship at Michael Marriot Studio in October 2010.
ACQUA DI QUA Diplom ork Bolzano 2011
In Italy every year 12,5 billion liters of water are bottled, and 8,5 millions of plastic bottles are produced. This makes the country second in the world for mineral water consumption pro capita. This marketing caused phenomenon, besides creating a useless expense among citizens, generates a huge increase of the pollution due to the plastic bottles and to the transport necessary to distribute it. My project was created to encourage a greater use of local water where possible and to stimulate a reflection on the waste connected to the business of mineral waters. Acqua di qua works as a brand for local drinkable water. The logo function as quality certificate, if you se it you know that you can trust the water quality there. The project is a win to win one: with a very inexpensive initiative, involving institution, business, citizens
and tourists, one city can have a big gain in improved social habits and image among citizens and tourists. The postcard together with the glass want to be a welcoming invitation to drink local water. The postcard and the paper glass inside it are realized with CARTAMELA – a paper made of apple’s waste – The origami glass is made waterproof thanks to a thin layer of MATER-BI a completely organic plastic. At the present moment I am developing the project for the City of Bolzano.

LOUD INFO Semester Project Bolzano 2009
Laud Info is a communication project which creates a new channel of information about political and social issues in South Tyrol. The projects aims to reach especially young people. Despite what most of the people know, our days in Italy racism is a quite big phenomenon brought on by extreme right organization. To inform about this and to adress other social issues I designed a web-page which work as platform to other already existing information sources. Besides the web-page I also designed the campaign to promote the initiative in the City.

TALVERA THE UN-TOLD STORY Semester Project Bolzano 2009
This project tells an unknown story about the city of Bolzano and its main green Park, the Talvera. The park is used daily by a huge number of people but the complicated events that brought to it’s construction are not officially written anywhere. For the project I made a research on archive materials of different offices and schools of the city. Dooing so I found out a hole story and I got to know the Engineer that after World War Two, together with volounteers workers builded this green public space. He didi it without money and against the local authorities’s will. In fact instead of this beautiful green area the intention of the local government in the 60’ was to build a
big street and parking lots. The project consist of one video installation, a short documentary film, a audio interview with the Engineer and the planning and a 1:10 scale model of a “station” where these films could be shown in the city. The video installation is a 20m long still shot of the park which runs with the audio of the interview. Looking at the video and hearing the real story of the park the viewer is brought to understand the contrast between the “normality” of the park being there and all the complications, controversy and political fights necessary to make it.

CHANGE IN PROGRESS Photography Bologna 2010
This project was realized to take a deeper look in to my city’s life and particoularly to better understand the immigration issue and the social, economical and urban changes that this phenomenon is bringingin people lives. To realize the project I have been living for three weeks in the city area of Bologna called Bolognina. Since years more and more people from abroad come to live here. There is a huge Chinese community, a high number of africans and people coming from different asian countries. The melting pot here seems not to be working well.
The local people, the italians, have been complaining a lot because of the increasing social and urban degradation of the area which, apparently, is negatively influencing their commercial activities. To document the urban and human transformation which is happening in the area I photographed people standing in front of their shops or just inside them. In the book I designed I divided the subjects of my photographs in three different groups: the locals, the chinese, and everybody else. Besides the 50 portrait pictures of people I collected short interviews for each one of my subjects in which I asked to talk about life in the city and their relation with people from the different communities.
LUNGHE STORIE LONG STORIES 4 photographs 70x100 Bolzano 2010
I developed this project in occasion of a cooperation between the Faculty of Design and Art and the Social Services of Bolzano celebrating their 10 years of life. After seeing the nursing home we had to work on, I decided that I wanted to know some of the old guests and develop a project after hearing their stories. The first to month were about getting to know each other, after this first phase I decided to work on the dreams of Nidia, Vittorio, Demo and Hanna. The photographs represent the things they wished to do or be, but never achieved in life. For one day in a fictional situation, I dressed them as they asked me to and took a photograph to freeze their wish. In order to make the fictional part of the
project clear, the shooting was made in a theatre. Working with these four old people and hearing their stories was an amazing and intimate experience both for me and for them who actually had the possibility to break the hard daily routine of life in the nursing house. The photographs have been exhibited at GALLERIA CIVICA DI BOLZANO in occasion of the exhibition LUNGHE STORIE curated by Paolo Riolzi and Federica Guasca Queirazza.
THE INFLATABLE HEART Pubblic Action Milano 2009
For this project I was asked to create mobile inflatable object, meant to be seen in public spaces. When I started thinking about the project I thought that whatever message that object would have brought, it had to be a positive one. I wanted to create something that could be easily read and understood bringing at the same time good thoughts and smiles to people. It had to be real simple and clear still leaving space to each one’s interpretations. Basing my project on these basic ideas - the heart was born. To make it leave and breath I brought it to Milano. And as i imagined, it created among the surprised viewers big smiles and a lot of curiosity. Very many curious things happened when i was with the heart. Last but not least, in a big shopping gallery closed to pizza Duomo, a clown with a red hat started playing with it. It was amazing he was so taken by his new game that quickly people and kids started gathering around him and they played all together. A gathering moment happened, it made me happy. The clown loved the heart so much that I gave it to him as a gift. Now the heart has became a stabile part of the clown’s show.
