WELCOME Hello and welcome to Guildford Fringe Festival 2018! We are incredibly excited about this year’s Guildford Fringe Festival, but we aren’t going to use the words ‘bigger and better’ as it feels like we say that every year! So, let’s go with larger and even more luxurious! The 6th Guildford Fringe Festival, who’d have thought it eh?! When sitting down to write this welcome note Charlotte and I decided to have a talk through previous years, even before Charlotte was part of the team and see what had changed and, perhaps, what hadn’t. The first thing both of us came out with was that we couldn’t believe the number of acts, performers and producers that wanted to be involved each year, it really is baffling how much talent there is out there. Other than the size and scale of the festival we couldn’t really think of many changes, it’s always been a place for people to try out as well as the top pros doing their thing, we’ve always managed to keep ticket prices low so we can make it as accessible to as many people as possible and the support from you guys, the audience, has always been immense. So… let’s do more of the same this year! You’ll notice, as you start looking through the brochure, that we have a couple of new venues, The Guildhall and Guildford’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre. It is so rewarding when venues as iconic as these two decide they want to be involved and we are incredibly excited about the events we are presenting with them. As last year’s opening show was such a success, we are back at G Live on 29 June to kick the Guildford Fringe Festival doors open with Gag House Comedy Superstars with Andy Parsons as our headliner! Joining Andy will be Zoe Lyons, Matt Richardson and Ivo Graham - so as you can see, it’s one not to be missed. We want to say a massive thank you to our sponsors, partners and to our Friends of the Fringe. Without all of these people and organisations we simply wouldn’t be able to continue. If you love what we do, and you’d like to ‘join the team’ then please do check out our Friends of the Fringe scheme. It’s just £9 per month but means that we can continue to bring all these wonderful events to Guildford. Finally, Guildford Fringe Festival is for us all to enjoy, so we hope you do just that. If you have any questions about any of the events then you can contact us via our website, through our various social media platforms or come in and see us at our Box Office and Exhibition in White Lion Walk from the end of June. We can’t wait to see you all soon! Happy Fringing, Nick Wyschna and Charlotte Bateup

Perfectly Ordinary, a brand new British musical, examines these issues and asks what all of it really means. In a Psychiatric Ward somewhere in the UK, we meet a range of unique, sometimes tragic, sometimes hilarious characters all striving to be ‘normal’. Based on real life events and inspired by real people, this show is a touching exploration of the human condition.
