It didn’t take long for Hanna to realize that she had probably made a big mistake.

We were at dinner a few weeks ago, and my husband, Rodney, was goofing around at the table, taking pictures of everyone with his phone. He is known for being “click-happy” whenever he has a camera in his hand, so we’re all pretty used to it.

But Hanna decided that he was annoying her, and she wanted to get a little revenge. So she pulled out her own phone and started taking

Hanna’s goal, of course was to embarrass him. But Rodney doesn’t embarrass easily, and as I mentioned earlier, it didn’t take long for her to realize that she had made a big mistake!

Rodney immediately wanted to know how she had done that. She showed him, and he downloaded the app onto his own phone, and has been a menace with the snapchat filters ever since! I don’t think he’s actually sent a single message through the app, but not one of us can get through a day anymore without at least one picture being taken of us with a deformed face, puppy ears and tongue, a ridiculous hat/glasses/ wig, or well, you get the idea.

And if we all weren’t annoyed enough after two and a half weeks of that, a few days ago, Rodney stepped it up another notch by figuring out that Snapchat also has videos that will change his voice (and ours, of course). One morning, he created five or six videos, and sent them out via Facebook messenger to our extended families. Of course none of those people have to live with him, so they all thought he was very funny and proceeded to encourage him. Now in addition to ridiculous pictures of ourselves, we are also subject to regular videos of Rodney or ourselves

wearing a bunny suit, with parking cones on our heads, and again, the list goes on.

This evening, when Rodney pulled out his phone to make yet another new video, our youngest, Haylee, told him, “Mom just needs to ground you from your phone!” Believe me, Haylee. If I could, I definitely would!
