Spring breaks are over and summer vacations have begun. Festivals like the Hangout Music Festival, the Lower Alabama Gumbo Festival and the Orange Beach Billfish Classic bring thousands of event-goers to the beach each year. However, May isn’t just about the events. The simple life is always found on the Coast. Public beach access is offered all along the Beach Road, and the weather is just right for laying out, playing games and building sandcastles. Whether you’re sinking into a beach chair from sunrise to sunset or taking dolphin cruises on the open water, May is a month to soak in all the beach has to offer.

BEACH ACCESS There are no fees for beach access, and parking is free at most of these public beaches. Florida Point: Located 0.3 miles east of Perdido Pass Bridge Cotton Bayou: Located at the intersection of Highway 182 and Highway 161
Romar Beach: Located 6.8 miles east of Highway 59 The Gulf State Park Pavilion Area: Located six miles east of Highway 59. $6 fee to park all day ($12 for large vans).
Gulf Shores Public Beach: Located where highway 59 dead-ends. $5 to park all day. Gulf Shores Second Street Public Beach: Located two blocks west of Highway 59.

By Destiny Brown estival-goers from all over meet at the Hangout Festival each year for a diverse lineup of bands playing on the sand. Preparing for the Hangout Festival is a yearround job. “It is a huge undertaking,” said Chris Swinney, talent buyer and entertainment manager for The Hangout. “Preparation and planning for the next year starts shortly after the fest concludes. Coordinating with all the bands, vendors, sound and lighting companies and the City of Gulf Shores — the amount of work it takes to put on a fest of this magnitude is mind boggling.” The Hangout has kept its reputation of scheduling a diverse lineup that lures in a variety of musical tastes to the festival. “We work with numerous booking agents, record companies and talent scouts,” Swinney said. “Most of the time it is all about routing (what bands are on tour at the time, what bands would make our lineup that much better, etc.) Everyone has a wish list. You never know who might be playing at Hangout.” Headliners for the 2014 festival are Outkast, Jack Johnson, The Killers and The Black Keys. Five stages keep music flowing every day of the festival. A strip of food concessions and beverage stands will fill the air with smells of all the festival favorites. “I am not sure of the exact number of concessions, but it's a massive amount,” Swinney said. “If you can't find some good food or a cool souvenir at Hangout, you aren't trying at all.” For a first timer, there are a few things to remember before attending a full day of festivities.

Bring sunscreen and sunglasses, but the most important tip I can give you is to be nice. We want Hangout to have a community and family vibe. Everyone is there for the same reason: because we all love music.” The Hangout is planning for another sold out festival, with more than 35,000 expected attendees. “This year we are on pace for another sell out,” Swinney said. “I am so happy with the lineup this year, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive.”

loha Hospitality International, parent company of Baumhower’s Restaurant, Bob’s Victory Grille, Bimini Bob’s Cabana Café and Compleat Angler Seafood Grille and Bar has partnered up with Louisiana’s Home on the Range Restaurants, parent company of the award winning Restaurant Revolution to present the 2014 LA Gumbo Festival. Kicking off the weekend will be the Gumbo on the Gulf VIP Reception, where celebrity chefs will cook up their best gumbo recipes. This event offers a one-stop opportunity to taste the best gumbo in Lower Alabama. At the festival, there will be a fierce competition as Alabamians and Louisianans vie to win the “Best Gumbo” award. Alabama restaurateur Bob Baumhower and Louisiana Chef John Folse will orchestrate the competition among other gumbo masters in a gumbo cook-off and help build the World’s Largest Bowl of Gumbo at more than six feet tall. “We're all looking forward to putting on a great show for folks and feeding them some of the best gumbo they'll find anywhere,” said restaura-
teur chef John Folse. “It's going to be a great weekend.” Baumhower said the competition will be fierce. "Bragging rights are a big deal in these parts, and that goes for chefs, too,” he said. Awards will be given to the gumbo favorites. The festival will feature live stage music and street music throughout the day and evening. The best artists from all over the southeast will be selling their art, and some will even be doing demonstrations. How did the LA Gumbo Festival begin?
It started two years ago when John Folse and myself got together in Tuscaloosa for the LSU/UA game. That was the fall after the tornadoes hit Tuscaloosa. John called me from Louisiana to see if he could help. We were first responders and giving everyone food and such.

Where did the idea for the world’s largest pot of gumbo originate? John had access to this gumbo pot that used to be a sugar kettle. We came up with this idea to cook the world's largest pot of gumbo and set the world record at the LSU/UA game that year. We had a great reception and all kinds of celebrities came by to “stir the pot,” so to speak. We had such a great response that we decided to do something like that every year.

How are the celebrity chefs chosen?
We asked a lot of folks and a lot of buddies. Whoever said they wanted to come down and help us, that's basically how they're chosen. We have some really good chefs.

What's different about this year's festival? Gumbo's a real personal thing. A lot of folks feel like they have the best gumbo recipe, whether you're a mom or you're a chef. This year we have one division. It's going to be everybody against everybody and we're calling everybody a gumbo master.

What do proceeds from the LA Gumbo Festival go to? It's a charity event. We're raising money for Faulkner State's culinary program and John Folse's culinary institute at Nichols State in Thibodaux, La.

Anthony Jones ... Well Worth A Visit! Voted The Best Salon in Baldwin County in 2014
It was a beautiful summer morning when we left Fairhope, low humidity and not a cloud in the sky. We were on our way down to Orange Beach to check out a business that many of our friends have told us about, this Englishman who had opened a Hair Salon on the beach with his daughter Emma. My hair is very important to me and getting a good haircut is a must, and that is what Anthony Jones is known for and excellent hair color to boot. We have both been very dissatisfied with the last few attempts on designing our hair to suit our lifestyles; most of the so called stylists did not take into consideration our age or understand that we both want to look great without a lot of fuss and bother. The traffic was a bit heavy due to the summer visitors, but we arrived on time to this charming yellow and white beach house on the beach road with a fabulous view of the Gulf of Mexico. We were greeted warmly by Anthony and Emma and they ask us if we would like a cold drink or a glass of wine before he started making us beautiful. Pam, my friend, went first since I was a little chicken after the last experiences. Anthony directed her to a styling chair and went on to explain the ten most important rules in designing a custom hairstyle to suit her. He first looked at her face shape and explained that there are five face shapes out there and told her her face shape was oval. The next was bone structure and head shape, after that was the type of her hair, the texture of her hair, then what sort of condition her hair was in, followed by the way the hair grows out of the head, plus cow licks, then her likes and dislikes and fashion. Wow! What a lot of things to get right. So then Emma started with a relaxing shampoo and deep conditioning, then for the next 30 minutes Anthony’s hands were a sea of motion, lastly a quick blow dry with hardly any fuss and presto she was finished! She was so happy and she could not believe the difference in her hair. Now it was my turn, my hair especially in the summer
gets very frizzy and dry; I have tried everything out there for my hair with no success! Anthony explained that commercial hair products are made different to professional hair products. Commercial shampoos are made of mild detergent and the conditioners are based on petroleum oil. Where professional hair products are pure and natural and give back to the hair, he also went on to say that we should all wash our hair every day and condition our hair the same. Anthony explained that at all times our hair has to have at least 8% moisture in it the same as our skin, we should treat our hair the same way as we treat our skin, by moisturizing it every day which made a lot of sense to me, since the last stylist told me not to wash my hair every day because in her mind it would dry it out. Anthony explained to me that yes using some drug store products would dry your hair out if washed daily. After we went through the ten rules, he took me to the shampoo area and treated me to the best shampoo and conditioning my hair had ever had. While shampooing, Emma explained to me what I should do in the morning in the shower, again stressing no over-the-counter hair products, that’s why my hair is dry and frizzy. After shampooing and before conditioning, towel blot the hair because the hair is porous like a sponge, putting any conditioner on one’s hair when it is full of water will not go into the hair itself, so blot it first then apply the product and leave it in while you are washing yourself. Then before you leave the shower, rinse and count up to 10 slowly and stop, just rinse the excess and no more. After she explained to me the hows & whys, I understood. They are like hair doctors, if we listen and do what they says it works! Anthony has his own line of products and everything he used on me was his and believe me the stuff works. The cut he gave me was wonderful; I walked out a new woman and so did Pam, no more frizzes! Oh, by the way he used a great product before he dried my hair called “POTION.” It is a gel with a lot of healing features with body, fabulous! I bought a bottle. Best money we ever spent and yes, we are definitely going back. He is a true professional.

I can’t wait for the sun to warm up and the rain to slow down. Of course, in a few months I’ll be wishing for a little cold front to cool off things. I’m never happy I guess — unless I’m on a speck bite. Funny how good fish bites make everything all right. The month of May, depending on the weather, is always a great fishing month in South Alabama inshore and offshore waters. The specks will be glad to see the warmer weather. They have had enough of the cold.
Inshore reefs
All of the inshore reefs in Mobile Bay hold fish that will spook easily. On the reefs, I mostly use live shrimp under a popping cork. Bottom fishing is tough on the reefs. Lures work, but sometimes it’s a little busy with all the boats. Cork fishing is less likely to fish someone else’s space. You may also find white trout around these inshore reefs. They school in huge numbers and bite most anything. I usually cut gulp baits in smaller sections, which the white trout love.
Gas rigs
If you fish the gas rigs, you know that some of the biggest specks hang around there. I use live croakers there under a slip cork. The bigger the bait, the bigger the bite. Around the rigs you can also find mango (black) snapper. Sheepshead will be around as well.
The Mobile Bay
As you fish the Bay, you should see the schools of pogies heading to the Gulf. I use them on the bull reds on the Dixey Bar as well as the kings and cobia that cruse the bar this time of the year. If you get up early and have some good live shrimp, hit the beach on the east side of the Fort Morgan Point along the beach. Specks will show up there for a few weeks in May. As you see, speck fishing is knowing what time of the year the specks will be on these spots. You go from spot to spot until you get a bite. If you run near some shallow creek exits early in the morning, try a top water in the deepest part of the mouth of the creek. May is truly a great month on Mobile Bay. Be safe and know the rules of the road. Be aware of the limits and size requirements, and please have your license in order. Watch your wake and enjoy sun and salt water spray in your face. Capt. Mark asks, Since I’ve been writing this column, I’ve met some pretty remarkable people. However, none have been as remarkable and interesting as Col. Joseph A. Fucci. Joe is a true American hero in every sense of the word. As we shared stories, I was genuinely impressed. Joe has looked death in the eye and spat at it. He walked, and flew, into and through hell — and returned. Joe was raised outside of Boston in Melrose, Mass., where he was active in sports. He then attended the ROTC Program at Norwich University. He was committed to the Army for two years after graduation as a second lieutenant of infantry. Joe’s dad, who never finished high school, drove a beer truck. His mom was a seamstress. His parents came to the United States on a ship full of immigrants that were full of dreams. They landed on Ellis Island seeking a better life, and they made it happen. Joe became the first Fucci to graduate college. Going on active duty in 1969, he was sent Vietnam, where he served in the 25th Infantry division as rifle platoon leader and rifle company commander. Upon returning home, he was sent to Fort Jackson, S. C. for his next assignment. There, he met his soon-to-be wife, Susan, whose dad had been an Army chaplain. Susan was marketing director for a business machine company. After marrying, he stayed at Fort Jackson another two years. After Joe’s assignment at Fort Jackson, he was sent to Flight school in Fort Rucker, Ala., where he graduated in 1974. He was trained in UH-I helicopters and eventually transitioned to Blackhawk helicopters while assigned to the 82nd Airborne Division. He spent the next three years as operations officer and Blackhawk company commander. Joe served in a multitude of locations throughout the rest of his career, including Washington, DC; Savannah, Ga.; Korea; Fort Campbell, Ky.; northern Italy; and Iraq. Joe’s accomplishments and positions held are impressive. During his service, he attended the prestigious Army War College in Carlisle, Pa.; commanded the army’s only Special

Operations Aviation Regiment; developed the military’s most elite helicopter unit; developed specially-equipped and modified helicopters providing rapid response to worldwide crises; was second in command in Northern Italy, where he was responsible for about 4,000 soldiers and civilians; and was responsible for the deployment of a task force to Rwanda in order to quell the unrest and stop the annihilation of thousands of civilians. In 1995, Joe retired and went to work for a contractor in Zagreb, Croa-
Shores and owned a condo. Joe and Susan came down with them MARK and fell in love with the area. They bought a ROBINSON home as a winter place, but eventually decided to move here permanently. Joe proudly informed me that he has a son who is also a retired Army lieutenant colonel. His son Cris is a skydiver who has made more than 7,000 jumps. “Life is great, and we feel blessed,” Joe says.

He finally decided it was time to go home, and he accepted an offer to work for Raytheon Corporation with a mission of modifying special operations systems for helicopters. After working for Raytheon, he went to work for Sierra Nevada Corporation as corporate Vice President of IMS Business Units. Sierra Nevada is a defense contractor responsible for building airplanes (ISR) involved in operatIon ODIN (Observe Detect Identify and Neutralize) used during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. These aircraft have multifaceted role enforcement capabilities also used in customs and border protection as well as “take the roads back” missions. Living in Kentucky, Joe and Susan had friends who traveled often to Gulf

Joe is the only certified installer in Alabama. Joe says he has no regrets. He put in 26 years of service to his country, traveled all over the world, has been to places other people only read about and is proud of what he has accomplished. He’s seen the worst of people and the best. He’s put his life on the line and faced adversities that he wouldn’t wish on his worst enemy. I’m honored to know him and proud to shake his hand. How fortunate we are to have Joe Fucci with us here on the island.

Frequently Asked Questions 1) Tents (no larger than a 10x10 ft.) are allowed on the beach, but they have to be placed behind (North of) the designated sign marker post and should be removed before night. Tents cannot be placed between the sign post and the Gulf of Mexico. This is for designated emergency and safety access. 2) Pets are not allowed on the beach on the Gulf of Mexico or surrounding islands (Robinson, Bird, Walker). However they are allowed at the designated city Dog Park on Canal Rd. (Hwy 180) next to Sportsman Marina. All dogs should remain on a leash within the city limits. 3) Glass in any form (bottle, cup, container, etc.) is strictly prohibited on our beaches and islands. 4) A yellow or green flag posted along gulf beaches means to use caution while swimming in the gulf waters and is permitted. A red flag means danger and one should not swim in the waters. Double red flags mean that swimming in the waters is prohibited by law. Purple means WARNING! A jellyfish or other marine threat. 5) All trails and parks are free and open from daylight to dusk 7 days a week. 6) Fires or flames are strictly prohibited on the beach. This includes grills, tiki-torches, lanterns, open fire pits, candles, fireworks, etc. 7) Jet skis, boats, and any other motorized vessels, are prohibited from launching along the gulf front beaches.

ith the weather warming up and the flowers in bloom, it's hard to ignore the call of the great outdoors. From picnics to hiking, this is the time of year to get outside. Why not combine all your hiking and picnicking into one trip — a camping trip? Everyone has their own style of camping. Whether your inner Girl Scout or Boy Scout tells you to put up a tent and a fire or your lazy side tells you to nestle in

a cabin with a stove top, all campers want to feel closer to nature, and everyone wants to bring as little with them as possible. Any experienced camper or good Scout will tell you when packing for a camping trip, be creative and only bring things that have multiple uses. Being resourceful in the wild is part of the fun of camping, but you don’t have to think of new ways to lighten your camping load. Generations of Girl Scouts and Boys Scouts have got it down to a science. So when you are planning a camping trip, pack light and pack right. Enjoy these tips from a former scout.
Flaming egg carton
No need to bring your grill — use an empty cardboard (Styrofoam won’t work) egg carton to transport and store charcoal. When it comes time to cook, light the carton and place it on a metal surface. The cardboard will quickly catch the flame and will easily transfer the fire to the coals inside. You can even set up four empty aluminum soda cans around the carton and place a grate on top for easy grilling.
Magic mesh dishwasher
Dirty dishes getting the campsite down? Rather than switching to paper plates, put your mess kit in a mesh bag with a drawstring. When dishes are dirty, wash with soap and water and put them back in the mesh bag, hang from a tree branch or clothes line and leave them to dry. At the next meal, your mesh and dishes will be clean and dry.

Grits to send hunger and ants running
Instant grits are not only a hearty start to your day, but they also keep ants away from your campsite. Sprinkle the dry grits from the packet wherever you suspect ants. You can mix the rest of the grits with hot water and chow down.

Panty hose in the shower
Cut one leg off of a pair of panty hose and place soap in it. Tie it to whatever shower source you are using. The soap does a great job of lathering through the hosiery.

Orange peel bakeware
Oranges are great to hydrate on the camping trail, but don’t throw away the peel. When getting at the hydrating fruit inside, try to keep the peel as much like a bowl as possible. Bring the orange peel bowl back to camp and use it to cook cake mix or cinnamon rolls over the fire. Who doesn’t love orange-scented desert in biodegradable bakeware?

Beans and burgers in one can
We have all heard of pork and beans, but conscious campers know how to make burgers and beans with one can. Open a family size can of beans and cook over the fire, rinse and turn the empty can over and use the flat circular unopen side to cook burger patties. With one can and two entrees, you will have a meal to please any hungry camper.
Beauty product/fire starter
If you must bring circular cotton pads for beauty maintenance, bring a few extra just in case you can’t get a fire going. When your wax candles burn down, dip the circular pads in the wax and use them as a quick fire starter. You will be surprised at how well they work.
Milk jug sink
Fill an empty milk jug with water and push a golf tee in at the base. The tee will keep an airtight seal when not in use, and you can just pull the tee out a little bit to let the water flow. Make sure to push the tee back in when your hands are clean. You can also tie some panty hose soap to the handle for a soapy clean.
8 Bug repellent socks
No one wants creepy critters in their shoes, but this is a major campsite hazard. At the end of the day when you settle down and take off your boots, pull your socks over the opening of the boots so no bugs can crawl in while you rest.

shakey graves By Destiny Brown Texas native Alejandro Rose-Garcia, better known as Shakey Graves, performs with nothing but a a guitar and a kick drum built from an old suitcase. The one-man-band is scheduled to perform a show of blues, folk and soul at The Hangout Festival on Saturday, May 17. DESTINY BROWN: When did you begin playing music? SHAKEY GRAVES: I started playing guitar when I was 11. I started going out and trying open mics and trying to get my own gigs when I was junior in high school and then started getting more and more legit. It all came together and started happening around 2009 when I started to have songs I was proud of and started to figure out how to get up and play in front of people. DB: Where did you start playing out? SG: I originally started in Austin, Texas, but I lived out in L.A. trying to be an actor, but I was stranded all the time without any work. I started playing at some venues and a speakeasy my friend had set up in a warehouse. I played at these crazy parties all week long and figured my stuff out. DB: Where do you find inspiration for your songs? SG: All over the place. Usually just sort of a translation of my outlook and the way I see the world. It really comes from my surroundings. The life I live, the friends I have, conversations that go anywhere from boring stuff to shooting guns and aliens or whatever.
DB: What are some of your biggest accomplishments so far in your career? SG: They range from getting messages from people like, “Me and my girlfriend got married to your music” to opening for Robert Plant — that was really intense. It’s an accomplishment to actually have my music be a passion and a job at the same time and to be able to tour around with a band. DB: What’s coming up in the future for you? SG: I’m on a tour right now, and I have a summer of really great festivals, but I’m also trying to finish up my second album and then have it come out around October or November. DB: Are you excited about performing at The Hangout? SG: I’ve heard a legend about it and I’m really excited to see Outkast. I went out with a band I toured with who played there not too long ago. I asked them at some point, “What’s your favorite festival?” and they said Hangout Fest was awesome. They had wonderful things to say about it. The backstage being a beach is one of the best concepts ever. DB: What can we expect from your performance at The Hangout? SG: I’m going to be playing some new music at the festival and expanding my set. I’ll be playing partially on stage with other musicians, too, so that’s something to look forward to.

charlie starr front man and guitarist for Blackberry Smoke By Destiny Brown The southern rock band Blackberry Smoke remains true to its southern roots through its music. An even combination of outlaw country, bluegrass and soul makes the band an original addition to the Hangout lineup. The band will take the stage at the Hangout Festival on Sunday, May 18. DESTINY BROWN: When did Blackberry Smoke begin? CHARLIE STARR: We formed in Atlanta about 13 years ago. I was raised in Lanett and went to Auburn University. We all just met in different bars and clubs through music and whatnot and wound up together as fate would have it. We’ve played tons of shows. We play about 200 or so shows a year. We started touring immediately after we formed the band in 2001 and haven’t really stopped. Touring is what we do. We’re not a single type band; we’re more of an album live performance oriented band. We just take our music to the people. DB: What are some of the band’s biggest accomplishments? CS: We’ve been to Europe four times and played great shows in those years. We’ve played Madison Square Gardens and played with Zac Brown — he’s a great friend, and we’ve been on his label for a while. We’ve just been able to do a lot. We recorded with George Jones and played at the Grand Ole Opry twice. It’s been a great experience and it continues to grow. Little did I know 12 years ago, I’d be playing with these people. You have to pinch yourself from time to time.
DB: When did you begin songwriting? CS: When I first started seriously playing in bands, I just focused on playing guitar because that’s my first love. Later out of necessity, I started to sing. As soon I started singing everyday, and when lead singer became a job, it became interesting to write lyrics and it grew from that. DB: Where do you draw inspiration from your songs? CS: Life experience. I read a lot. I’ve always been sort of a nerd. A songwriter friend years ago gave me some advice: “Write what you know. It might be kind of hard to convince people if you’re writing about something you know nothing about.” DB: What is the band currently doing? CS: We have a few shows left on the Fire in the Hole tour. Then we take a couple weeks off and decompress and start up again. We have a live album and DVD that will be released this month and then we’ll be going to the studio to make our next studio album pretty quickly. DB: Are you excited about playing at The Hangout this year? CS: Yes, I’ve heard nothing but good things. It’s one of the festivals that we definitely were wanting to play, and it’s a great festival that all bands want to be a part of. I was really excited to find out we were going to play.

JAMESTOWN REVIVAL By Destiny Brown Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance, better known as Jamestown Revival, are a Texas duo known for their back-porch music style and smooth harmonies. The band is scheduled to make its debut on the Gulf Coast on Thursday, May 15 for the Kick-off to Hangout Festival 2014. DESTINY BROWN: When did you begin playing together? JAMESTOWN REVIVAL: We met in Magnolia, Texas when we were 14. We’ve been playing together since we were 15 years old. We dabbled in music growing up, but nothing too serious. We wrote some really bad songs when we were in high school and eventually decided that we enjoy making music together more than we did on our own. Three years ago, we started Jamestown Revival. I guess you can say it’s been a long time coming. DB: What does the band consist of? JR: Jamestown Revival is sort of our baby and we picked up some pieces on the way. So we travel with our band. We have a bass player, a drummer and a guitar player. But that’s the core. We collaborate musically with these other guys. DB: Where do you draw inspiration for your songs? JR: Our songs are pretty autobiographical. It’s just collective experience. Since we’ve been friends for so long, it’s been a combination of all our experiences, whether it’s financial troubles or girl troubles or getting into too much trouble. We bounce ideas off each other and really tell stories the way we experience them together.
DB: Are you excited about performing at the Hangout? JR: We absolutely are. We’ve heard through the grapevine that this one of the best festivals as an artist that you can possibly play. We’re extremely excited. We haven’t had the privilege of getting down there, but we’ve heard wonderful things — that it’s absolutely beautiful — and we can’t wait to experience it first hand. I’m sure we’ll manage to have fun. DB: What’s coming up for the band? SG: We’re playing the Hangout and working our way down to Texas and over to the west coast and circling back around the country. We’re actually going to hit Bonaroo as well. DB: Tell us about your newest album, “Utah.” JR: We just released the album in February. We grew up in a small town and spent a lot of time outside — a lot of time in the woods. I think that gives us the courage to do things a little bit differently sometimes. To record our album, we decided to pack up a truck with music gear and went up to the mountains in Utah and basically converted a log cabin up there into our recording studio. That album is “Utah,” and we’re very excited about it. The songs on that album are about basically moving form Texas to Los Angeles a few years ago.

New Orleans Bread Pudding Courtesy of Greg Buschmohle Ingredients n 1 pound French bread, cut into one-inch cubes. n 3 cups half-and-half n 3 eggs n 1/2 cups sugar n 1/8 cup melted butter n 4 teaspoons vanilla custard n Raisins n Pecans n Pan spray Preparation Mix eggs in a bowl using a whisk or a hand mixer until well blended. Mix cream, whole eggs, sugar, melted butter and vanilla. Stir in the raisins and chopped pecans. Spray 9-by 13-inch pan generously, and lay bread in pan. Pour the custard mix over the bread cubes, working the bread with your hands until softened. Pour vanilla custard over the bread cubes.

Cover tightly with Saran wrap and aluminum foil. Bake at 350 degrees for one hour in a water bath then another 15 minutes out of the water bath with the wrap and foil removed.
To make a water bath: Place 9-by 13-inch pan into a larger pan. In the larger pan, carefully pour in enough hot water so the water is halfway up the sides of the smaller pan.
Buschmohle’s passion for cooking propelled him to travel to eight different cities, and to open his own restaurants specializing in fresh seafood. Buschmohle’s first restaurant in Orange Beach was a new Creole and Caribbean seafood concept called Bayside Grill. A longtime friend proposed opening a restaurant together on another beautiful site in Orange Beach. Cayman Grill features an exhibition wood fired grill and oven. The extensive menu offerings changes weekly and includes the island’s largest selection of fresh seafood and hand cut choice steaks.
