BAY MINETTE

TENSAW-STOCKTON

Bay Minette is the county seat of Baldwin County and embodies the kind of small town charm the South is known for, complete with scenic oak-lined streets and gorgeous homes that speak to a bygone era. Visit the picturesque public library, stop by the vibrant North Baldwin Chamber of Commerce, or enjoy some good home cooking at one of the many excellent local restaurants.

Where Alabama Highway 225 and 59 meet sits the community of Stockton. One of the northernmost points in the county is home to several historic homes and sites. Bicentennial Park is dedicated to preserving the rich heritage and history of this unique spot. It includes a walking trail, historical exhibits and a working farm. History abounds even farther north in the Tensaw area, as well as historic Fort Mims, where you might see a battle reenactment or simply enjoy learning the storied past of this county. While visiting, don’t miss a Southern feast at the Stagecoach Café, located across the street from the newest county museum, The Stockton Heritage Museum.
