Executive Chef. Janardan Das greeted us and introduced the concept of the Indian royal feast at Saffron. Tikka, Lamb Reyash, Fish Tikka, Dal Fry, Chicken butter masala and a signature drink. Hot butter stroked Naans (breads) were also served along with the dishes. The selection of kebabs were exceptional and freshly prepared. They seemed to have reached the table straight from the tandoor, retaining their flavour and aroma. All the dishes retained their authentic Indian flavour and presented well on the table. The ‘Dal Fry’ requires special mention here, since the black gram dish is a quite unique preparation at ‘Saffron’, and not been found anywhere else in the Kingdom. My companion, who already had her lunch, hesitated at first to indulge in the royal feast. However, a spoonful of Biryani prompted her to try out more of the each dish. We finished our lunch by savouring the ‘Saffron Pistachio Cheesecake’. The perfectly

The Indian royal feast is reasonable priced at 10.5BD++ per person until September 30th, 2018. This will indeed gratify large group’s diverse tastes. The Royal at the Table All along our lunch, we frequently commented on one item in particularthe summer drink! Though neglected during grand feasts as a side order, this summer drink was difficult to escape anyone’s attention. The lemon and mint based drink is a special introduction from Al Areen’s “Live your Life” Spa and includes the special ingredient of ‘Butterfly pea flower.’ The flower has been widely used in Indian Ayurveda treatments. The addition and wise use of this ingredient shows the genuine care for the visitors at ‘Saffron.’
