PROJECT
Located in the Besiktas district, one of the most central areas of Istanbul, the project focuses on three important functions. These are; working, living and shopping areas. “Han”s, which are frequently used in the Ottoman Empire and the old Turkish states as the basic element of the project, were taken as the basic principle and the project was shaped accordingly of this. In the western part of the project, business centers are located; east of the residential buildings are located. This information shows us that the location of the project is critical and at the same time intense in terms of human density. In order to facilitate the human flow of the project, the shopping and cultural center building has been accessed from the ground floor and the shopping and cultural center has four floors; It was formed. The reason that the shopping center does not located on the upper floors is that the users do not use it in the upper floors unless there is a mandatory reason. Since the shopping and cultural areas used in the lower floors are critical importance for natural light, this problem was designed by opening the center of the project along two floors and the circulation was looking at this opening, the courtyard which called in Turkish “Avlu”. This eliminates the problem of light. After the shopping and cultural center, the office and residential areas were positioned on the north and south sides of the land and the distinction arising from the functions was also identified in the positioning. The privacy required for the housing was also provided. The office structure consists of a total of twelve floors and access is provided from the northern part of the land. Also, the office block has been separated from the shopping and cultural center. All the facades of the office block were covered with cladding glass facade, and the light requirement of the building, which was designed with an open office plan, was removed and an aesthetic appearance was created. Since the southern façade of the office block receives more light than the northern façade and this light can turn to burning light at certain times of the day, the first three floors of the façade are then shadowed by mass fluctuations on the first four floors and the rest of the facade without using sunshades. With this facade appearance, the office block has gained a remarkable appearance. Following the office block, since the residential block is located on the south side of the land, rather than a multi-storey structure, a housing structure of the same width as the width of the land but shorter than the office block was scanned so as not to cause shadow problems. The building gained depth with the two- and three-storey inner gardens formed in certain areas of the northern and southern facades of the residential building. With all these, the basic principle of the structure, user satisfaction and the problem of light is aimed to be solved.

N-SHARING HOUSE H E S I
S
Located in the Galgenhof district, one of the most central areas of Nürnberg, the project focuses on sharıng spaces for recidences. Sharing housing is a type of intentional providing shared housing for people with shared intentions. This may simply be coming together for activities such as meals and discussion in the common living areas, yet may extend to shared workspace and collective endeavours such as living more sustainably. Nürnberg known as growing faster rather that the other German cities and with that people need more housing complex near to city center or their business center. These may some causes because there is really small sites left which are close to city center and these small areas must serve more people rather than normal apartments. Because in growing cities like Nürnberg quantity of area per person is decreasing in every year, so that bring us to not making spaces more individually, making them more communal. On the west side of the ground floor of the project, there is a busy street in terms of vehicle traffic. Considering this situation, no living space was placed on the ground floor. Some of the ground floor is designed as a trade area and some as a sharing area for users. Living areas started from the first floor. The project volume was divided into three parts. The right and left sides of these three parts are the living area and the remaining area is the sharing area including the kitchen and terraces. Each floor has 4 bedrooms and each bedroom has its own bathroom. There is mobility in living spaces for daylight. The concept from the first floor to the attic continued unchanged. For the daylight needs of the sharing areas, galleries were opened on the roof and floors. The structure, user satisfaction and the problem of light is aimed to be solved. (This project is done in Nürnberg-Germany due to Erasmus Exchange program.)*

With these analysÄąs we can understand how the main context for housing works better for itself and also for around of it. Because main aim of sharing housing is to make people who live in it to share daily activities.

03 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT Concrete facade proposals were presented for a single facade of the office building. From this proposal, 3 different types of façade were used which were precasted on the façade. The first type of part is extended outward to assume the function of sun protection. The second part is formed vertically and the third part is designed as horizontal moldings. Application drawings of this design are made in 1/50, 1/20 and 1/5 scales.
