We are beyond honoured to be given the chance of editing the Kielce 2021 Digital Regional Selection Conference of EYP Poland. Our entire generation facing a great breakdown through a pandemic, being challenged by a great loneliness has thrown us to the secure arms of the EYP community. Once more, we remember how accepting, crowded, colorful EYP indeed is whilst holding the power to rescue us from this bottomless crevasse. Thus, we find the theme of the session genuinely inspiring: “Togetherness: sense of belonging in a digital era”.
Working with this creative team, editing their aspiring work, your editorial team along with the media team will seek every opportunity for Kielce 2021 to be a session where we discover how to connect with each other; overcoming the physical distance between us. This session is the perfect place to pioneer ways to connect through digital platforms as the theme already suggested.
Main focus being what we hope to see more at the sessions in the future; the creating and capturing memories, the media team of Kielce 2021 will work in diverse fields and will have a chance to experiment with unique ideas.
There will be projects that are collaboratively created by all of the participants and some projects to create a closer bond within all participants and a bond between them and the session as a whole. Additionally, some of the projects will be dedicated to the academic part of the session; to inform the youth about critical issues and the actions they can take. Although these will be the main goals of the media team in Kielce, I am hoping to shape the work of the media team altogether with the editorial and the media team.
On behalf of our both innovative and motivated media team, we are fully ready and eager to explore and experiment with ways to feel together and connected in digital environments. Our only hope from now on is that beloved participants of Kielce 2012 will be willing to take part in our projects. Therefore we encourage all of you to get involved with our projects and activities and experiment with us on this unique journey.
We would love to finish our welcoming as two Turkish EYP with a quote from a very important Turkish photographer Ara Güler: “If the best camera were to capture the best shot, the one with the best typewriter would write the best novel.” Regarding this precious advice from a great media doyen, technical problems, conditions and even pandemics shouldn’t bother your work. Your art grows its roots from your heart, platforms are secondary. Trust yourself, it will tell you the biggest art.
See you at the session and stay tuned for the media team projects, Editorial Team of Kielce RSC 2021, Aslı & Güneş
