BRAUIC COMPETITION | RAILWAY STATION

Compitition has been held in China in which the each team needs to built railway station by using modern way of construction in which task is to achieve as much as detailes and techniques. Site has been selected in Coalville, England in which our team decided to go for sustainable methods. As per that concept we choose wood to construct with and the entire building’s major parts has been made out of wood. The station has been built in two levels. The shell of the building has been design through modular construction and fluid formation. Site has existing bridge which has been used to cross the railway track which in now the extry from both side of the station to enter into the building. Covering Part of the building is waterproof fabric, jali and glass. The jalis has been designed the cover the part as well as to provide the strength to the structure of the building. The landscape part of the site is extension of the builduing’s modular part which are creating verious type of sitting areas and mounds. Wooden parts of the structure has been constracted in the modular elements.
