I love the feeling of uncertainty. I place myself outside of my comfortzone by default, to learn about the unknown. That was how my studies in Industrial Design began. Some may call it a behaviour of restlessness, but to me the hunger is a great source of energy.

GUSA COMPACT LIVING FURNITURE BA PROJECT

Bacholor project industiral design. 12 weeks, 2016 Supervised by Claus-Christian Eghart and Jan-Erik Svensson (Company supervisor)

ABOUT

The GUSA project was about creating the new base on which the new Vietnamese home would be built.

BACKGROUND

The rising middle class in Vietnam is starting to create a western style home. What happens when a different culture implements imported values and products? What would happen if you create a fusion between the both worlds?

DESIGN DEVELOPMENT WALL BED FOLDING The base function for the sketching revolved around the function of folding up a mattress towards the wall. The mattress specifications was already established by UMA and the sizes were: 200 x 120 x 18 cm

FOLDABLE TABLE EXTENDING The challenge for the table was to make it possible for a 3 to 5 to 8 seating. The idea of folding and extending it were the main focus of the development and a lot of variations were investigated during the sketching. Due to the production facilities we had to find a “low tech” solution in order for it to be ready for manufacturing.

FOLDABLE STOOL COLLAPSING The collapsible stool became a downsized version of the table in terms of aesthetics, but the function was specially developed for the function of a collapsible stool.

PORCELAIN BIRD NEST PORCELAIN WORKSHOP

CAD & porcelain course. 6 weeks, 2014 Supervised by Andreas Hopf

ABOUT

The workshop was aimed to put CAD into practical use. Using 3D printing and CNC milling as tools for casting models.

BACKGROUND

The freedom of 3D printing and CNC milling gave me the opportunity to manufacture a truly organic shape. With the inspiration taken from nature I also wanted to create something for nature. I decided to make a birds nest.

SKETCHING & IDEATION

The sketching revolved around the shape of an peeled clementine. With some experimentations on the proportions I soon determined a certain level of sections and profile.

CAD MODELING

The base model for the mold was made in Autodesk Alias Automotive. The model had a generous draft-angle at the widest point to make the mold-making easier.

AVALANCHE LUNG DESIGN PROJECT B

Design methodology course. 8 weeks, 2014 Supervised by Claus-Christian Eghart and Anna Persson

ABOUT

The handtool project was aimed to refine our skill sets as designers. This was the first project of this size.

BACKGROUND

The Gaspari project was a result of extensive researching and ideation. What began as a berating device for recreational divers, later addressed the hazard of getting caught in a avalanche.

FINAL PROTOTYPE

Mounted on the strap of an ABS backpack, the Avalanche Lung can be a life-saver for a skiier or mountain climber.

CONCEPT The final concept revolved around a cartrage based design. A replacable oxygen cartrage developed oxygen and heat when activated by breathing through the device.

KIDS KNIFE PLAY & DESIGN

Design for children. 10 weeks, 2015 Supervised by Peter Barker

ABOUT

The Play and Design project was about addressing an issue presented for children in the ages between 2 and 8 years, and solve it with a product.

BACKGROUND

The Kids Knife Project was a result of research around kids and their eating habits. The research showed a lack of knowledge about cooking and eating habits, the effect being poor lifestyle choices that follow the kids into adulthood.

CHILD OBESITY

AMERICA HAS THE HIGHEST OBESITY RATE IN THE WORLD

TODAY THERE ARE MORE OVERWEIGHT PEOPLE THAN PEOPLE AT RISK OF STARVATION. WHY? Children need to be fed. They lack the knowledge of what they put into their mouths, simply because it’s usually not their choice. Developing good eating habits as a child is crucial for adult health and well-being. What if you could include your child in the cooking process, adding the benefit of educating them about food?

RECLAIM RESPONSIBILITY

Emil i Lönneberga Emil is one of Astrid Lindgren’s most famous fictional character. He is what grown ups would consider a trouble maker due to his high output of energy. He lives on a farm and enjoys carving wooden figurines and his woodworking skills is way better than any average boy today. He channeled his excess energy resulting in a valuable skill.

MOBILE PHOTO SOFTBOX LIGHT & COLOR

Darkness design course. 4 weeks, 2014 Supervised by Olof Kolte.

ABOUT

The light & color project was about creating light in situations were there is not enough by using maximum 3 1W LED.

BACKGROUND

The Little project was about utilizing the full potential of the camera in your average smartphone. Creating additional lighting for that perfect instagram in your home, could raise the quality of your photos to a completely new level.

IDEATION & SKETCHING When you are using additional lighting in a photography, you usually want to avoid sharp shadows and intense contrast points. This is usually solved by using a large light emitting area, but when size is an issue, the format becomes more complicated

INSTAGRAM SOFTBOX MADE IN SOLIDWORKS, MATERIAL: EMTAL AND PLASTIC IDEATION

SCENARIO Imaging that you want to show the world that you are an awesome chef. Even better, you want to show the world that your shitty food tastes and looks like food from a three star Guide Michelin restaurant. For this task, lighting is of utmost importance.

SIZE VS LIGHT

Bigger is better, but bigger is bigger. When experimenting with the size, you have to find a good amount of shadow casting that you can live with and also use to your advantage.

DIFFERENCE

You can get around a size issue by constructing the softbox in various ways. Therefore I preformed testing with various shapes to see what would give satisfying result.

-

SIZE

+

-

SHADOWS

Shadows build up gradually as the light source gets smaller.

+

LIGHTBULB

When you pull in an additional light, you usually use what’s around. What usually is around you might be a regular light bulb, with no diffusive surface, rendering a sharp shadow

SOFTBOX MODEL

With a softer light distribution, the shadows and highlights become much smoother. The differences in details is another benefit.

FINAL CONCEPT

The Little project was about utilizing the full potential of the camera in your phone. Creating additional lighting for that perfect instagram in your home, could raise the quality of your photos to a completely new level.

PORTABLE BIDÉ WELFARE DESIGN

Project at Meddlefart hospitla, Kolding, Denmark. 8 Weeks. Supervisor Richard Herriott

ABOUT

The welfare project at Kloding Designskulen was about finding a design solution for problems occurring at Danish hospitals.

BACKGROUND

During a visit at a spinal surgery wars i began asking questions about the patients recovery. During my research in the subject i found out that independence meant a great deal for the senior patients. One issue that the patients were struggling with was keeping there hygiene, therefore i wanted to address the most important part of keeping your hygiene. Get rid of your shit.

WHY BIDÉ ? WHAT WAS BEFORE TOILETPAPER Using a bidé is fore some nations a part of their everyday routine. For the Nordic countries its not. The use of toilet-paper is bound to tradition, and even though people with their health in order struggle with it, we still favour paper before water. Maybe its because the water up north is colder.

When it comes to benefits, the bidé is a clear winner over the old fashion paper.

70% LESS USE OF TOILET PAPER

MORE HYGIENIC

JAPAN

90% of the household have a bide installed

USAGE RELATION TO YOUR ITEMS

The usage of the portable bide is the same as for a regular squirting gun. You pop the device open. Fill the tank with water and then spray away.

DE-STIGMATIZE RELATION TO YOUR ITEMS

I had the ambition to de-stigmatize the bide by making it a object that fits well with today objects. With brushed aluminium and a monochrome pallet, the products fits in many everyday situation.

NO SHAME DESIGN

Keep it in you bag, or why not let it peeping out to show that you have the cleanest bum in town.
