CONCEPT - " Pictogram " - Elements And Place Spirit
Each venue is very lively, with its unique characteristics and interesting side. I believe that each venue is telling their own story. As designers, we have an obligation to understand them in depth, and for them who can’t speak. Sounding a voice further confirms the necessity of the existence of landscape designers. Designers need to use natural elements as design inspiration or materials to strengthen the temperament of the site and make it more in line with the common aesthetics of mankind, that is, to enhance the characteristics of the space through design. Make the spirit of the place more prominent
In a large number of projects designed during the undergraduate period, four projects with typical personal touches were selected. The four projects were from the soil and the community autonomy of retired agronomy professors, water and land use art to transform the water education base of the last century, electricity and activation The vitality pulse of the fractured landscape belt, as well as the fire and fireresistant Tibetan fire worship sacrificial route to explore the designer’s understanding of the three elements of Natural Elements, Space and Place Spirit

Project Brief:
The installation of the marina barrage has disrupted the natural processes of river sedimentation and has led to a series of ecological problems in the Kallang River and a $5-6 million annual dredging cost, in future, the increasing number of ABC water projects proposed will undoubtedly exacerbate sedimentation problems.
The Public Sediment Project proposes a cooperative paradigm for engaged civic action to Manage river sediments, In recasting the sediment in the Kallang River as a substrate of resiliency to transfer vacant community use sites into a dynamic landscape condition, where the legacies of labor, innovation, and ecological justice overlap.

Project Brief:
Site served as city’s water education base in the 1970s and 1980s; rigid revetments, a single form of water collection, and aging infrastructure gradually weakened original spirit of site
Design reimagined the form of an educational site as an urban rainwater collection, using different topography, different weather, and stagnant surface water to present different processes, which are displayed to citizens and tourists. The design re-adjusts the elevation of the site, so that surface of site forms a specific curved filter pool, and water purification is carried out through three topographic steps
Mainly through study of contours, shapes, speed of water catchment and distribution of people, the use of Three-Dimensional Clay Molds, 3d Printing, Foam Board Production, Drawing Profiles And Contours gradually develops a beautiful site with educational value , With Flowing Water as the design inspiration and element, reactivating its spirit of place as a "Humid Laboratory" in Nanjing

Project Brief:
Many countries are currently facing crisis of population aging. In China, senior scholars often have higher professionalism and cultural pursuits before retirement. In the current community building, how to create a community environment that conforms to their own habits, reflects their social value, and avoids their spiritual emptiness is an issue worthy of attention.
This case is located in a residential area attached to Nanjing Agricultural University. It is a prestigious agricultural college in China. Most of users are retired agronomy professors. The professors' professionalism in crop research for many years make them unable to adapt to retirement Later, the life became sluggish and empty.
Finally, The Middle-Aged And Old Retired Teachers joined the Seed Center of NAU Using The Germplasm And Student Resources ,combined with the university's new research direction-Aquaponics, and proposed a new urban agricultural method community transformation

In this system, plants can grow on rafts floating on water. Usually, raft carrying the plants is placed in a tank different from tank carrying the fish. Water from fish tank enters tank with raft through the filter assembly, and then circulates back to fish tank. Nitrifying bacteria were found in the raft tank and remained there throughout the system.
Siphon Irrigation Device
Utilize force phenomenon of liquid level difference. After filling iquid into an inverted U-shaped tubular structure, place high end of opening in a container filled with liquid. Liquid in container will continue to flow out through siphon to a lower position to ensure sufficient moisture for vegetables. There is no risk of roots being submerged

Project Brief:
For a long time, Tibetans in the Muli area have a strict worship system for fire, and they carry out sacrificial activities of fire worship. From the fire pond in the Tibetan home to the burning mulberry furnace in the temple on Mountain Ritual Route. Fire is a tool for communicating with gods, but the fire that Tibetans believe in and worship has brought them devastating disasters and losses.
The Muli forest fire in 2019 took the lives of 30 rescuers and caused heavy economic losses to Lier Village.
Design a sacrificial place with fire control function to minimize the probability of fire, but when the unavoidable fire occurs, the forest fire will be converted into Religious Culture (Turning Mountain & Simmering Mulberry) and Economic Industry (Morel) development opportunities, To ease conflict between mountains, fire and people
Use the fire that brought disasters to the Tibetans as an opportunity for the design of the project, and Redesign The Site As A FireResistant Sacrificial Site.

The sacrificial site is located in a dense forest area with high humidity and adjacent to a fire-dangerous area. It serves as a water storage node for the fire prevention route. and the sacrificial route is designed based on the dialogue between ancient and modern people and the god of fire.
Water stored in water storage line falls along scripture wall, then it is wetted, indicating the appearance of God in people's hearts. The prism reservoir reflects sun’s rays and symbolizes Fengma flag, a symbol of Tibetan sacrifices.

The devices are placed in fire-prone areas. When the fire does not occur, the climate modifier spreads cypress seeds to form a fire belt. At the same time, when the climate is dry, the water collected by the water collecting device is used to spread the mist to reduce the probability of forest fire. In the event of a fire, the device and the cypress trees growing around it serve as a fire belt to minimize the fire threat damage to people.
The site could collect rainwater. The fog is condensed and stored in reservoirs placing along the Pilgrimage Paths. The collected water slowly wets the scripture wall. The light beam reflected by the pool symbolizes the Fengma flag advocated by the Tibetans, representing the dialogue between man and god. When a forest fire occurs, the reservoir can serve as a water source for rescue. The high-humidity water collection line also reduces the probability of fire to a certain extent, and the relationship between fire and people becomes more harmonized.
When the fire did not occur, the site was used as a production line for morel mushroom bricks and planting modules, serving as an economical source for Tianer Village. When a fire comes, the cypress fire belts formed by the climate corrector, along with the water collected by the water collection device, form a fire line to resist the fire. After the fire, the production of morel planting modules reduced economic losses for the village
