The Uniquenessof

AN INDIVDUAL – Pankaj L. Pandya (Ex. Stu. Gurukul Hyderabad)

donkey is different from a horse and obviously a horse is different from a donkey. How stupid or how intelligent was that? And now, again a Hinny is different from a Mule. Isn't it? So, how difficult is it for you to accept it that these creatures are different in their breeds, their qualities, their abilities and their potential? They belong to different species, or in simple terms they are from different origin. What would you call a man who forces a Donkey or an Ass or a Mule to run in the Horse-Race at Derby? We can call him any of the above three mentioned names …. Isn't it … because we all know it very well that only a Horse of a Good Breed can run in that race and if this good breed horse is properly trained then it is quite certain that it can even win the Race!! But what if you have to lift tons and tons of weight … or carry huge luggage from one place to other or irrigate your farmlands in the mountain regions? We would preferably use a donkey for the same … Isn't it … and a horse cannot replace the donkey in this case!! Both of these creatures are meant for different purpose and one cannot replace the other in what they are the best in doing! Every single creature in this world is different and is meant for a different purpose. Every single creature is Special and Unique in its own way! We should understand natures this improvisation and respect the uniqueness and diversity of the

A

God's Beautiful Creations. I know … I know … I have already irritated you a lot by horse~ing and donkey~ing around! It's jus that when we already know and understand all these silly things, then why don't we apply the same??? CONFUSED! Imagine Sachin Tendulkar playing Basketball … Weird?? Okay, then imagine Micheal Jackson teaching Sociology at some university …. Crass? How would you feel when one fine day you see an Astronaut driving a City-Bus and a Doctor selling grocery? Every single human being has some special quality associated with him. We are blessed by the Creator of this world with some Quality very unique to us. We should recognize this uniqueness and thank Him for blessing us enough. But most of us disregard his GIFT and spend our entire lives in searching for something else outside us …. Without looking for what lies beneath! We work very hard to become something that we are not, without doing justice to our own Talent and Abilities! Some of us can be good sportsmen, whereas some of us can be good Executives. Some can be good in the field of Art and Literature, while others can be better of working as a Research Scholar! Every single individual has some definite declination towards something or the other. We all are God's favorite Child! HE loves all of us equally and has made us for a definite reason. We have our own special   8

place in the society and we are supposed to play our own special roles, the best in our abilities as a man. I would like to urge all the Parents and Teachers, NOT to force the children just into studying but recognize their abilities and give them proper orientation and direction. Parents and Teachers are the carving hands for the soft mould of clay. Making beautiful pots out of each of these moulds is what would make this world a Beautiful place. Always remember- Black is black because there is some contrast color

called White. Black would lose it's identity if there is no white. Winner is a winner because there is somebody called Looser. How can somebody not defeat anyone and yet become a winner? These terms go together like two sides of a coin! Do not take your failures seriously! Learn from your failures and plan for a better today and tomorrow!

heart. Shreeji Maharaj gave darshan to Aatmanand Swami and told him that he was going to take him to Akshardham. After this Aatmanand Swami told Shivlal Sheth that he was pleased with his service and asked him to ask for a boon. Shivlal Sheth said, ‘Swami if you are really pleased with my service, please

come with Maharaj and take me to Akshardham on the 13th day after you go to Akshardham’. Swami was stunned as Shivlal Sheth was very young, but seeing his devotion Swami promised he would and thus Shivlal Sheth went to Akshardham at the young age of 28 years.

Bhaktaraj Shri Shivlal Sheth – Keyur Patel

S

hivlal Sheth lived in Botad near Gadhada. During Shreeji Maharaj’s time he was a millionaire but a very humble devotee. He was once in a sabha chewing betel nut (supari) causing some noise, hearing this Aatmanand Swami said, ‘which dog is chewing a bone?’ Hearing this Shivlal Sheth got up spit the nut outside, came back and took his seat. He was a millionaire but was not offended by Swami’s words and from then on gave up the habit of chewing betel nuts. Shivlal Sheth greatly enjoyed doing nitya pooja. Once he was doing pooja at home and there was a function, so small pots filled with Ghee were lying around. While he was engrossed in his pooja, couple of cats happened to spill the Ghee. Bhaga Doshi saw this and when he finished his pooja told him ‘Shivlal you don’t even care of happenings around you while doing pooja’. Shivlal Sheth replied, ‘father, before I start my pooja, in my mind I set fire to my house, my land etc. and then do my pooja’. On another occasion when Shivlal Sheth did pooja, every day two Nand saints would come to have the darshan of his pooja and stay till the very end. One day while he was still doing his pooja, one of his

employees asked him a question and he replied back. The saints on that day did not stay till the end of pooja and went back in the middle.
